Well this image had been sitting waitnng for approval for a week and I decided to remove it.

I need some feedback. Will someone tell me what isn’t working with this image. I’m not bothered if it has to be rejected..I’m definately not too precious...it’s all part of my learning journey…but obviously it didn’t jump out to anyone straight away.

Well, firstly, I love the soft colours and the depth of field is quite nice although, I would have expected you to focus on the heart of the flower rather on the outer petal. I think it’s rather confusing that your focus is on a part of the image whose lines lead outside the image rather than towards it.
Also, the image is not cropped so perfectly, I don’t think. While I don’t think using the golden thirds rule is always the key to perfection, I do believe it would have helped this image if it weren’t so slightly off-centre.

Focusing on the stamens is so common…I thought I draw attention to the petal for a change.
