Blue Morning at Sea by Cora Wandel
I have trouble with photographs like this because credit really goes to nature, not me, for all I basically did was point and shoot. No fancy set-up, creative angle, nothing but shooting the scene as I saw it. So I may have set my camera at a particular ISO and shutter speed, but no great skill there either. If you like this photograph, then give credit to Mother Nature, she’s the one who set the scene for me, all I did was shoot it. Camera: Canon Rebel XTi 400D

Longing for the SUN by CynLynn
One of my neighbors prize winning Black Eyed Susans. / The Ohio winter is setteling in. The skies are gray, the wind has a biting chill and I am longing to see and feel the bright warm sun. My wait will be long and cold with only worse conditions to come. To look at this beautiful flower gives me a bit of warmth to make it through the cold to come…................. This is as is.

Arlington House by Cora Wandel
On a Virginia hillside rising above the Potomac River and overlooking Washington, D.C., stands Arlington House. The 19th-century mansion seems out of place amid the more than 250,000 grave sites that stretch out around it. Yet, when construction was completed in 1802, the 1,100-acre estate was not intended to become Arlington National Cemetery and eventually have one of the most famous grave sites in the world, that of President John F. Kennedy, sixty yards beneath it on the slope of the hill the mansion is on top of. The mansion, which was intended as a living memorial to George Washington, was constructed by the first president’s adopted grandson, George Washington Parker Custis, who himself was a child of Martha Washington by her first marriage. In its years as a lived-in home its most famous resident was Major General Robert E. Lee of the Confederate Army of the Civil War. Lee lost the home during the War when federal troops crossed the Potomac and took possession of its choice 1,100-acre location and established a military base there, which today is known as Fort Myer. On June 15, 1864, the United States government appropriated a substantial portion of the grounds for use as a military cemetery, and named it Arlington National Cemetery. ___________________________________________________ Source: Arlington National Cemetery Historical Information Camera: Canon Rebel XTi 400D This photograph is “as is” from the camera, with no post processing

2. Photographs MUST BE as the camera took them and untouched. IMAGE MUST STATE AS IS/ OR STRAIGHT FROM THE CAMERA.
3. Definately no photoshop etc… no touch-ups, no colourations, no darkening/lightening of specific parts of a photo, no cropping and definately no S/C work.
4. No frames or words added to an as is picture.
5. This group is intended for capturing an image and being proud enough as it is to post. So please no blurred/out of focus shots. Just great photos – Naturally.
6. Maximum of 10 per member. If you wish to add another image – you must chose one to remove.
7. No drawings/paintings/tshirts accepted. (there are groups for those).
8. Please only submit one photo of the same subject and try to keep each addition unique. Series shots are lovely but it is better to have variety.
9. We would also request that the pictures are suitable for workplace viewing.
Please respect the rules and others.
The idea of the group is to present untouched photographs, to be shown as close as possible to the original scene as the eye observed it through the camera. This is naked photography at it’s best.
