  • Rock-Bound Coast by George Cousins

Ocean storms always fascinate me. This was on Oct.21, 2006 as an Atlantic gale hit the coast of Nova Scotia south of Halifax. A mixture of wind, fog, heavy clouds and rain added to the strong on-shore swells and surf. Biggest problem was keeping my balance and the camera dry.

  • Eventide by George Cousins

An especially beautiful evening at Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia, with a quiet Atlantic Ocean and a beautiful flaming sunset.I’ve already posted one from the same evening (“Fireball”) and I thought it would be interesting to silhouette the lighthouse against the setting sun. I waited until there were no people about,I felt it would be an intrusion on the serenity of the scene.

About This Group

A place for artists currently living in Atlantic Canada (New Brunswick, PEI, Nova Scotia…and yes, even Newfoundland) to show the rest of the world what incredible art and talent we produce over here. This is also a chance for us to get to know each other a little better, arrange collaborations and even organize meet-ups and excursions.

All disciplines are welcome!

If you are a resident of the Maritimes, work can be of any theme. Non-residents may also join but your work should be about the Canadian Maritimes

There will be no limits on number of images, but for visual appeal, please try and limit your uploads to 2-3 every few days. This will help ensure equal exposure for all of us and keep things looking nice and pretty on the site. :)

I will put work through an approval process simply to ensure that work either is from Atlantic Canadian artists or has a Canadian Maritime theme.

If you would like to help me moderate this group or have any ideas or suggestions, please scoot us a bubblemail.
