  • Playground by NicholasClay

You’re probably wondering what this image is…well, it’s my old shower curtain hooks! They’re standing up on their sides, keeping each other up. It was a hard process to keep them standing at the same time, but the image in the end was rewarding. I find it rather unusual; shower curtain hooks holding each other up, instead of their generic friend, the shower curtain. I thought it resembled a playground and had a bright feeling to it. Hope you like it! This is a representation of me because I really enjoy finding new ideas, and making use of readily available things/ideas that we would normally put aside for one specific reason. I love to stretch the potential in my life and enjoy thinking the future will be bright.

  • Planetary by betha

When I first got my new camera, an Olympus E-410 I had to try out lots of things, particularly shots inspired by out artists here on RB. So I had to try out water drops, I was pretty happy with my first attempt using food colouring. As I was lucky enough to get 2 different colour drops. I never thought to put it up, but when I saw the Homepage pic, thought ah why not. So here is my first attempt. Not tried it since. But I am sure I will some day.

  • Schlegeis by Xandru

Schlegeis reservoir, or artificial lake, lies in south west Austria. The mountains in the skyline are actually in Italy. On that day we hiked past this lake to the Italian border, some 15 kilometers. Reaching Italy, we quenched our thirst on some Italian beer and walked back. • Fairground mirror by jesika

A perfectly ordinary Greylag Goose reflected in the University of York lake and a bit of fiddling with twiddly bits added. / The distortion is the polar wotsit filter in PSE7, then a bit of blurring to hide the join and a crop to increase the impact! • Baby Mockingbirds by Glenna Walker

Just a close up of the four little baby Mockingbirds. The last baby was gone today. I do not know if the parents moved it along with the other two that were missing as of yesterday. One baby got caught in the wire and died. I do not want to think the worst, so I don’t. I will always have the adorable photos I was able to capture in just four short days.

  • I love my mommy! by strangedays3

This is my puppy Major, he is five months old. What enticed me to take this photograph is the look on his face. I judge moments in photography by a feeling I get when I see the photograph through my eyes before the lens. I used a Sony A200 DSLR with a 18-70mm zoom lens. I used a portrait setting to blur out the background and no PP has been done to this photograph. / I am happy with the shot because I like to take photographs that are asymmetric, especially since life is often asymmetric!
