This is another childhood memory – reading my absolute favourite childhood book – “The Night They Stole the Alphabet” by Sesyle Joslin. I used to get this book out of our school library all the time; in fact I had it so often I don’t think anyone else at my school would have had any chance to read it! I tried to get a copy recently, but it is out of print, so will have to search out a decent 2nd-hand copy I guess.

We love:

—hot beverages: tea, hot chocolate, tea sets, tea pots, drinking hot beverages, coffee – in all its many forms, cannisters of tea, and hot beverage accessories.

—chairs – wooden, metal, stuffed, falling apart, well loved, well designed, oddly shaped, at a table, on the porch, filled with cats, vintage, the odd couch, sofa, divan, settee, etc

We do not love (these are actual submissions that have been removed):

—bottles of wine, random tables, some guy on a beach drinking wine with his girlfriend, some vegetables in a basket on a table, candles sitting there being pretty by themselves, a glass of water on a table or a picture of a beautiful sunset with a teeny-tiny micro chair in the corner
