One of the things I really do miss about England – apart from sausages – is the stile. When we were back there in ‘97 for a few weeks one of the first places we visited had three of four of them to be crossed and I was like a kid with a new toy!! LOL Super shot mate. Peter
A90Six in reply to georgieboy98’s comment
Thanks Peter! You should knock up a little fence and a stile in your back garden! :) Tony.

Where was he? Did he go when they knocked his crooked house down? REALLY good shot Beryl, like this one.
A90Six in reply to Paulette x’s comment
You got it all wrong George! When I say crooked I mean bent as a nine-bob note and not in the ginger way. He had scarpered as he’d just flogged the stile to a visiting septic for a monkey. That being said, I should think he was down the rubber telling the whole jackanory to his chinas. :0 Gloria!
Jenifer
This looks so cool, I love the chrome look and the colors.

Thanks coyote! Glad you liked it! :) Tony.
Gwenda Oxley
great image. I climbed over a few of these in UK!!
A90Six in reply to Gwenda Oxley’s comment
Thanks Gwenda! I’m beginning to think from the comments that the stile is a particularly British thing! I just thought they were everywhere. :) Tony.

OK!!! London slang – lost in the smog!! Explain please. I get the jackanory, I get the bent, I don’t get the septic or the rubber or the chinas. Enlighten me Petunia x
A90Six in reply to Paulette x’s comment
septic tank = yank
rub-a-dub-dub (rubber) = pub
china plates = mates
Does it all make eighteen pence now!

Ha – Yep thanks hun x
Andromedae
What is it? Are those things benches, parts of the fence? Definitely crooked!
A90Six in reply to Andromedae’s comment
Stiles are a common sight in the English countryside. They’re used as steps to get over the fence. Saves on gates, hinges, bolts and catches.
:) Tony.
Graham Taylor
