On The Footplate
This is an image of a wonderful old man who allowed me to stand on the footplate of his steam train while he was stoking up the fire and let me take a photograph of him, i was absolutely over the moon and really felt humble and priviledged as though i had stepped back in time, one things for sure it was HOT on there!

On The Footplate belongs to the following groups:

Thank you so much Jeffrey for your comment, he is lovely isn’t he with his lovely kindly old face! I must confess i’ve got incredibly itchy feet at the moment and i need to explore and create images rather than just record them…....i go between documentary type images and imaginary ones…...what’s your poison?
Jeffrey Palm

Railway men all the way Jacqueline! My husband has worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway for almost 30 years and they are so dedicated. Again, wonderful capture. I bet he’d love to have a copy! Have a great weekend!
