Wow, everything about this wonderful!! Love the darkness of those sky scrapers that almost disappear into the brooding sky, and the monkey observing this strange manmade urban landscape…..well done!!
You have a beautiful way of creating imaginary landscapes. There is such a great atmosphere in this image. Love the silhouette of the ape. What will he think about the Zoo below …?
I am currently working on a large project, it is to protect a bio diverse hot spot in Manila that is being decimated…..... for logging purposes, the rate of on going animal extinction in the small region alone is mind boggling.
wow ~ this one is amazing ~ what a great comp in form and in thought ~ love it ~ juxtapostion of the monkey against a city skyline ~ are we we having evolutionary thoughts~? great work all around Steven
Beautiful blend of city and nature… Love the perspective and colour tones… How come you don’t respond to your commenter’s? Is it more Artistic to be all quiet and reclusive? Just wondered, because I’m new to redbubble and I have a lot to learn about etiquette here… :-)
it really depends on who is commenting, and what they have said -if its really interesting or debatable, ill reply. most people thank and sometimes send a bubblemail thanking again -personally i think its a too much of a response -but everyones different.
so! good luck with the bubble! and thank you again for the comment ;P
So this is the best they can do? Build giant monoliths to inflate their egos, Just to erase it from view by polluting it so.
This is why I lost my home? So man could destroy the land? To be among many and still be alone? And to think they say monkeys became man, I think they’re likely descended from Loons.
Love this, the monkey looking out over man’s creations is so sad and profound. You can’t help but wonder what he sees and what he thinks of what we’ve done. The colors are stark and make a bold statement as they rise from a dark bronze almost to to a stormy gray. I also love the way the two taller buildings disappear into a sky that seems a bit upset to have them poking there. Keep this up, your work is very original.
