Graffiti Tree#3
The intricate etchings on the bark of this this tree offer fascinating images that I was fortunate to discover walking to my car in West Hollywood, a suburb in Los Angeles. I took several photos of graffiti trees using my Macro lens and selected those that have multiple images, colors and texture. In this composition I perceive a vast landscape with villages, people and mountain trails. The graphic details on this tree remind me of the primitive imagery of cave art. There are many icons to discover and I always look forward to your projections in my series of graffiti trees.

i sense a tribal feel to this….. and almost like a primeval dance…
(three years ago I was walking in west Hollywood, just off the Boulevard…and took photos of tree bark and tree forms! Would be funny if they were near this one!)

I agree about the tribal look of this piece. Wendy, are you the one I saw in West Hollywood? I was right behind you taking a photo of the same tree! :) As always Wendy you have very interesting responses to my abstracts.

Thanks Pinky. I saw great texture on this tree and was happy it shows in the photograph. Also I perceived that the teal blue delineates the form of an animal and liked the mysterious figure on the far right.
