Soundscape: Beatbox

This is the glass piece: I published an image of the charcoal cartoon way back, with the same title, it’s on the first (last) page of my portfolio The glass will be shown over the next two weeks "Samjjana" a group exhibition Global Gallery Comber La. Paddington. Sanskrit for “harmony and right consciousness”, the exhibition features 5x artists in 5x different media all showing work which interprets music in visual terms.
MaryJane Leahy, a classical guitarist, is launching her CD of the same name at the exhibition. I’ve made 2x new works relating to 2x of her compositions. Circus Chaos is one of them.

Soundscape: Beatbox belongs to the following groups:

Abstract Art and Stained Glass

    beautiful peace, my friend… the end view is always worth the journey (for me) in matters of glass.
    Wish I could see all of your efforts in the exhibition-Cheers for a hugely successful run! Peace

    thx very much Doug, and izzybeth. I’ll be posting some photos :-). as for success, I’m not holding my breath regarding sales. Art is one of the first casualies of a fagile financial market. it’s not the only measure of success, I know that, but it IS a universal one, and a useful one.

    as the saying goes here in amerika- “preachin’ to the choir” If you’re not familiar it means stating a familiar theme or notion to one who can well relate… The economies of the world are in panic-AND IT’S ALL ON PAPER- none of the money ‘lost’ ever existed anyway-it’s a great big 3 card monte game to instill fear and exert control… but the effects on artists are REAL as the first money to dry up is that spent on such ‘frivolous’ things as art… people still gotta have their Hummers and caviar and third and fourth houses-or as a certain political candidate here-his sixth or seventh house. When the souls are starving they will feed on art-let’s soak the rich, bloody bastards! Peace (seems incongruous, I know, but hell- even J.H. Christ lost his temper once in a while… ;-}
