Untitled
waiting
by candle light
i sit and wait
for something to arrive
not sure when
or how
but i know
i’ll feel
alive
shawdowed pools of darkness
round about me lay
stoic in their vigil
of keeping fools at bay
mean time in the quiet
when whispers seem a shout
i’ll breathe in
the void around me
and let the demons out
waiting
by butchart
Thanks b!

This is a ‘truly’ wonderful piece of art. Rembrandt would be proud… I love it….......

With these words by butch kept in my head, I took the portrait. It was the one shot, handheld. It was the moment, not a sec too soon nor a sec too late. In this portrait, a special shock presented itself to me – that I have photographed not one, but two persons in here.
Once again, thank you so much everyone.
Thank you butchart!

This portrait is simply stunning, without doubt. The only thing I might suggest is maybe editing out the slight reflections or points of light near the bottom, it would really enhance the ‘floating head’ effect. It’s still a fantastic piece of artwork as is :)

Thank you David, quite right, I’ve edited that out now. They are actually the reflection from the buttons.
