Green Water Nymph

Green Water Nymph
This was mixed media, done on pastel paper with ink, oil pastel, pencil and charcoal, from the Beach Series…i have always loved her, and still have the original painting….she is one of my favourite characters…i luv how chunky and sweet she is :) with her little kiss curls framing her face and her polka dot onepiece holding her tummy all in :) you gotta love those thighs!!!
Green Water Nymph belongs to the following groups:
Beach Art, Cutest of the Cute, Mixed Media and WATER SPORTS & ACTIVITIESAvailable for sale as Cards

it is fun to use oil pastels, i like the way the colour comes off, like the yellow flecks on the green swimsuit, almost like peel….you’re right parts of it would make an interesting abstract, thank you :)
L K Southward, 6 months ago

yes, thanx LK, there is oil pastel, and then over the top I’ve used a little bit of chalk pastel to highlight her face and thighs….the yellow flecks on her swimsuit are thick bits of oil pastel, and most of the rest of it is also….
