    What we hadn’t realised as we’d searched so intensely for food, driven by our desperate hunger, was that we ourselves had become the hunted. Gorgeous paper bark Kathie. Very like silver birch. I’m not sure what image this one conjures up for me. I get the feeling of an angry sky over mountains. I do know I can see superb textures & fabulous rich colours as always. I know I’d be tempted to simply mount a section of bark direct onto a suitable plinth because these surfaces are so tactile looking they scream out to be touched. Obviously that would risk damage but I wonder is a fine resin could be applied to protect them without causing any loss of the original beauty. Ah there I go thinking out loud. XX
