Valldal - Winter

Valldal - Winter by Åsta Skjervøy

Valldal - Winter

A winter panorama shot of the valley Valldal on the west coast of Norway, taken during the christmas holiday. Stitched together of 15 pictures.

Post-processing:
Stitched some pictures together, obviously. Fixed the contrast with curves, added a lighter curve only on the lower part as the valley was pretty dark, and the mountain tops really light. Added two black and white layers set to hard light (140%), mainly on the sky and the mountain tops.

Valldal - Winter belongs to the following groups:

Everything Winter, Landscape Photography, Panoramas, Scenic Scandinavia and The Greatest View in the World

Hei Åsta. Stunning picture. Dette er et vidunderlig bilde, som har stor personlighet, litt trollsk, litt Kittelsen. Fantastisk bra jobbet. Hilsen fra Eva, som en gang for lenge siden bodde på Tårnåsen.

I’m really sorry for this late reply, but I’m not so much at redbubble as I maybe should be.
Making panoramas (cause I guess that’s what you’re wondering about? If not, correct me ^^) is really not as hard as one might get the impression of. You can find a lot of tips here: http://www.panoguide.com/howto/;jsessionid=9C099C7A9AC5AC1E025522E1E62B21A2

You don’t necessarily need all those things that they mention in those guides (I’ve got a tripod, but not a so called “panorama head”, but one can actually manage to take panoramas without a tripod as well.), but there are still some useful tips in there!
