Bambi

Why I chose this title: Anyone who have seen the movie Bambi a few times during their childhood (or in adulthood) might remember the scene where Bambi was experiencing his first winter and explores the forest after a heavy snowfall. Every once in a while, large clumps of snow would fall from the branches and land right on top of Bambi.
Well, this is pretty much what was happening in that photoshoot. I took this on a sunny, cloudless day. There was no fog whatsoever. What you see here is the powdery snow being shaken off the treetops by the breeze, creating this misty effect

... and yes, at some point there was a particularly LARGE clump that landed on top of me. Thank god I was wearing a hat and scarf!

I like this photo. Living in an area where winter stays too long I am not fond of winter photos but this is interesting especially with the light in the distance.

They’re long needle pine trees. (I don’t really know the name of the tree, but that’s what they look like in any case ;p) Happy you like it :)

Heheh yeah tell me about it. I don’t know how long it lasts in your part of the country, but over here, it lasts about 6 months :(
I’m glad it had this effect on someone who doesn’t like winter :)

Do you mean a house for you to live in, or a house in the picture for the beauty of it? Heheh.. Just beyond the whiteness there’s actually a house at a short walking distance… Too bad we can’t see it I guess. I’m really happy you like it!

Heheh.. well I suppose that snow looks really nice and all when you’ve never experienced it in your life. But I can assure you that there isn’t alot of nice things I can say about snow and winter. Winter here lasts for about 6 months… A bit too much cold and wetness for me, thanks ;p

To me it looks like a bamboo forest in snow! Its so gorgeous and unusual looking! because usually bamboo forests are not covered in snow.
But then again, i dont know id ir is bamboo or not!
