THE FREE THINKER
The making of that image is so simple, with Picasa I put the two pics together, one of a macro shot of bark without cropping and a portrait of my boyfriend listenning to his friends sitting at the patio table.I darked arround a little and that’s it.I didn’t have to do ajustment for the eye and the ear,it’s like the two pics were meant to fit together… :)))
I sold a matted print on the 29 th of november 08 to an unknown bubbler and that image was edited in the book “Gaïa the living planet” Same processing as Torn
When I did that image I thought about how menkind should be more united with the earth ,to feel renewed by the the contact of nature to become a better individuaL,TO BECOME A FREE THINKER.As long as we are trying to control the earth nothing good will come out of it,I often thought that we should be more like trees who are the lungs of our beautiful planet.
My friend C.C Arshagra wrote a wonderful poem inspired by this image,C.C realy understood what I felt when I named that piece.
That poem is called The Free Thinker would..

Tony Ryan
Good points. Also feel that the control we place on others and ourselves is stopping us from ever being free in thinking or body. Whilst we feel a need to control we are fearing any loss of control and this fear paralyzes many of us.
micmac
Being a controling person I ‘ve learned by gardenning that I can’t control a thing.I was afraid of to much wind, rain , sun and trying controling my fears, I give them to much power and I kept them alive.Nature is just perfect like humans with their storms, their tears and their deep emotions. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Tony xxx
madvlad
this is so spiritual and meaningful to me,when people would talk of god,and how they packaged god, i,d always point to a tree, and say how can you comment on the mind of god, when you can,t even make a simple thing like a tree, we are in awe of our being here, if we,d only look, we have a free ride for a few years in paridice, why not be free, and just? love being here, and stop wanting it all, lovely art! work micmac
micmac in reply to madvlad’s comment
I’m so happy when an image inspires like that ,you don’t know how much …big kiss Madvlad…Thanks
Tony Fallon
Yep lifes been great since I’ve given up big chunks of controlling…frees up so much time to enjoy other things…. and the tree is still my favourite structure. Great Image by the way :)
micmac in reply to Tony Fallon’s comment
For me trees are the lungs of the earth,GaÏa has to breath and controling is an illusion….Thanks Tony
