Hey Paul! Really enjoy your work and style. This one reminds me of a teacher i once had. A good one, which I guess is rare!
Keep drawing. Love to see more.

Andy Mercer
Let me guess.. you were drawing the goat in your kitchen and he knocked the tea pot over !
Its getting so bad.. I knocked a cup of coffee over this morning and spent 10 minutes studying its artistic possibilities. I’m feeling a tea stain inspired work coming on !
Paul Compton in reply to Andy Mercer’s comment
Go for it Andy – embrace the spillage. Thanks for commenting.
Andy Mercer
Does it have to be any particular tea ?
Paul Compton in reply to Andy Mercer’s comment
Not decaffeinated. I like a nice Earl Grey or Chai but the choice is yours.
Ignacio Candel
good stuff. keep it up.
mindylynn
tea drawing… as in painting with tea??? confused
Paul Compton in reply to mindylynn’s comment
I’m sorry I confused you. The eyes, tone around the head and splashes were made with tea and applied with a brush.
mindylynn
so… i could paint with tea! =] have you heard of the guy who does ‘puke paintings’? they’re really gross, but its kinda cool how he has a gallery and people buy his art…
Paul Compton in reply to mindylynn’s comment
No, I’ve never heard of the “puke guy” – but I know I’ll never be inviting him over for dinner : )
mindylynn
haha, its crazy, i saw it on ripleys once. i am going to have to try out this tea thing soon.
BLYTHART
I liked this first time, but now I have read most of the book (nearly finished) it makes much more sense.

Yaye! A well done piece, depicting my favorite character. Have to admire him, as out of everyone, he is the only character that (as far as I know) never lied, sold out his beliefs, committed adultery, stole anything, or etc. A genuinely unselfish individual, acting just as teachers ought to act.
Paul Compton in reply to Arletta’s comment
Yes!! I completely agree – he was the most honest and genuine character. Thank you Arletta.
Sophie Treloar
what a wise goat
