Yes, Mel, there is a lot of variety in this little park, and I only covered two parts of it in about a 5 mile area. I will do more next time.

Actually, Louise, I think i was standing on a flat, sandy hiking trail. These rock formations are the tops of an ancient mountain range that jut up out of the desert sand like islands. Most of the surrounding area is flat sand or gentle hills. I will look through my archives for some of the interesting rock shapes.
