What is Bipolar?
Bipolar disorder is a medical illness that causes severe mood swings which are caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. People who suffer from this illness lack the control mechanism that enables them to pull away from emotional situations and as such their lives may spiral out of control, through no fault of their own. The illness is very serious and very real and affects not only the sufferer, but their friends and family as well. There is still a lot of stigma attached to this disease, given that it is a mental illness to which very little is known about. It is incurable but can be controlled by diet and medication. Most bipolar types are brilliant, creative, inspiring, loving, generous and caring individuals who contribute to making the world a better place, but all the while they themselves struggle every day to survive.

Thanks buddy that means a lot to me!

I remember reading an article by Sting a few years back and in his opinion to be a truly great musician you had to be to some degree obsessive compulsive. Without this it was unlikely that you’d have the drive to do the endless and often mindless repetition required with scales and so on to gain the fascility of a master musician. Interesting hey, all the best mate.

Yep, if there is anything “comforting” at all about having bipolar, it is knowing the exclusive company you keep!! :o)
