One of the things that really excites me about being involved in any creative community is the way in which the ideas and work of others helps spur my own creativity.
A perfect example of this that crossed my facebook inbox today is the showreel of one of my wife’s cousins. His name is Stephen Elliget, and I highly recommend you head over to check it out right here What impressed me the most is the variety of techniques and styles on display. That, and the fact that he’s only 19, so I can’t imagine where he’ll be at once he clocks in a few more years experience.

Pretty impressive!
Animation is so hard and time consuming.
I did a crash course in maya before. It was the only program I’ve ever opened and couldn’t figure the basics out on my own. That shaz is pretty brutal.

Maybe the word “pretty” should be “extremely”.

Yeah, his work is pretty damn impressive – hopefully you’ll be seeing some of his artwork on the bubble (you hear that Steve – get cracking!)
