ambivalence
Never thought to upload this one as an actual artwork, until a friend asked to see it larger. What I like about it, is the expression is open to interpretation. It is many things at once, (sadness, determination, subordination, deep thought) and at the same time, none at all.
Also went for a renaissance-style chiaroscuro effect on this one…

Really like the lighting and the colouring, Reminds me almost of the night watch painting, just with the lighting and the skin tone. Don’t know why.

This is pretty damn good. I love the two virticles – your neck and the colour edge – takes me to another plane and emphasises the multiple realities and interpretations. Great shot!

I adore the lighting in this piece, What is she thinking about? Youve captured a motion and feeling in this that many will relate too. The light around her eyes and ears drops beutifully, and the lips are red and lush! Good job Vansk!..:)

Lighting, angle, expression, treatment and the face, all come together here. Really good piece. Have you done any exhibitions yet? This and some of your others should be not just on the Bubble.

A stunning and completely captivating image. The facial expressions are definitely open to interpretation – I can see determination and deep thought, with perhaps a dash of tiredness! This is a fascinating artwork. Perfect.
