Theory of Invariants by BySilent
If you had to choose between the Newtonian Law or the Theory of Invariants which would you choose? The planet Mercury during its elliptical orbit advances according to Newtonian Physics about 1/557th of a degree every century this occurs at the time Mercury is at its closest to the Sun. The Theory of Invariants is accurate and shows that the change is 1/600th of a degree and has been proven to be more accurate. Every time you use a GPS (Global Positioning System) device you inadvertently prove the Theory of Invariants. By now you are scratching your head since you may never have heard of that Theory in Physics but you know it under a different name but the equation is known by everyone. Albert Einstein ended up calling it the Theory of Relativity. So what is in a name? If Albert Einstein would have had his way we would be talking about the Theory of Invariants which really does not trip off the tongue very well but then again everything is relative or so Einstein proved. This is how “Theory of Invariants looks as a card: Some other groups you may find of interest as well: DaDa Land / Boolean Art / Human and Nature / Fantasy Art / Light and Reflections

SINK WORMS by ToastedGhost
There was a strange smell coming from the bathroom sink. Upon investigation I find there is something blocking the plughole. I manged to remove the metal grill with a screw driver and poked into the pipe with a stick. To my horror and surprise I managed to pull out this disgusting worm from within the pipe! A local plumber said they were called “Sink Worms” and were normally found in kitchen sinks living off the waste food and debris inside the U bend and that this horrible creature had somehow made its way through the pipes. He did say however that this was the largest “Sink Worm” he had ever seen and bought it from me for a small price to display in the local kiddy science park. He reckoned it would make a tourist attraction. He did advise me to flush the pipes with hot water and bleach, just to make sure there were no others floating about. Maybe you should check your own sink… just in case… / . / .

PISCES by ToastedGhost
Created for & commissioned by darkestartist as part of my Zodiac series For others in the series / ARIES / PISCES / LEO / LIBRA / CANCER / TAURUS Pisces Febuary 20 to March 20 / Pisces Traits Imaginative and sensitive / Compassionate and kind / Selfless and unworldly / Intuitive and sympathetic On the dark side…. Escapist and idealistic / Secretive and vague / Weak-willed and easily led Pisceans possess a gentle, patient, malleable nature. They have many generous qualities and are friendly, good natured, kind and compassionate, sensitive to the feelings of those around them, and respond with the utmost sympathy and tact to any suffering they encounter. They are deservedly popular with all kinds of people, partly because their easygoing, affectionate, submissive natures offer no threat or challenge to stronger and more exuberant characters. They accept the people around them and the circumstances in which they find themselves rather than trying to adapt them to suit themselves, and they patiently wait for problems to sort themselves out rather than take the initiative in solving them. They are more readily concerned with the problems of others than with their own. Their natures tend to be too otherworldly for the practical purposes of living in this world as it is. They sometimes exist emotionally rather than rationally, instinctively more than intellectually (depending on how they are aspected). They long to be recognized as greatly creative. They also dislike disciple and confinement. The nine-to-five life is not for them. Any rebellion they make against convention is personal, however, as they often times do not have the energy or motivation to battle against the Establishment. Pisceans tend to withdraw into a dream world where their qualities can bring mental satisfaction and sometimes, fame and financial reward for they are extremely gifted artistically. They are also versatile and intuitive, have quick understanding, observe and listen well, and are receptive to new ideas and atmospheres. All these factors can combine to produce remarkable creativity in literature, music and art. They may count among their gifts mediumistic qualities which can give them a feeling that their best work comes from outside themselves, “Whispered beyond the misted curtains, screening this world from that.” Even when they cannot express themselves creatively they have a greater than average instinct for, and love of, beauty in art and nature, a catlike appreciation of luxury and pleasure, and a yearning for new sensations and travel to remote, exotic places. They are never egotistical in their personal relationships and give more than they ask from their friends. They are sexually delicate, in the extreme almost asexual, and most Pisceans would want a relationship in which the partner’s mind and spirit rather than the body resonated with their own. Unfortunately they can be easily misled by a lover who courts them delicately and in marriage makes them unhappy by a coarser sexuality than they expected. They are nevertheless intensely loyal and home-loving and will remain faithful. In their employment they are better working either by themselves or in subordinate positions. Their talents are individual in a commercial business or similar undertaking. They would be afraid to manage more than a small department, worrying always that they would fail in a crisis. They can make fair secretaries and bookkeepers. / Their sympathy equips them for work in charities catering for the needy, as nurses looking after the sick and as veterinary surgeons caring for animals. As librarians or astronomers they can satisfy their mental wanderlust, and their fondness for “faraway places with strange-sounding names” may turn them into sailors or travellers. Many architects and lawyers are Pisceans, and when the creative abilities are combined with gifts of imitation and the ability to enter into the feelings of others, Pisceans find their fulfillment on the stage. Their psychic and spiritual qualities can lead them into careers in the church or as mediums and mystics. They may find an outlet for their creativity as caterers, and are said to make good detectives because they can imagine themselves in the place of criminals and understand how their minds would work. In technical occupations they are well employed in dealing with anaesthetics, fluids, gases and plastics. Because of their lively versatility and inability to concentrate overmuch on any one project, Pisceans often simultaneously follow more than one occupation.

TheHeadJob by Gary Grant
Great Thanks to RB’s; Joan Warburton for her suggestion about the Apophysis program and, Paul Stephen Dixon for his suggestion about the Paintnet program, both of which are freeware and were my inspiration for creating this fractal based image and also, for excellent inspiration and encouragement of all the contributing RB Artists, Thanks,. gg This is one of the strangest visions I ever had, only to be superceded of course, by thoughts currently under construction in some remote hemispheric-juxtaposition in the fabric of my brain. At first I thought it was only a bizarre interaction of the thorazine, embroidered with excessive amounts of amphetamines; and extro-amphetamines, bathing warmly, in the sacred, scented, seriton-laced crystals, combined within a highly-caffeinated type espresso beverage, dashed with ecstasy I was imbibing, that caused me to arrange this incredulous insipid concoction of metaphysical pixalations together. But since then, an epiphany of clarity lead me to understand that, rather than some shallow compulsion for Maslowian approval inspiring this arcane effort, I really had a unadulterated breakdown and while in the throws of this; transcendental Utopian ionized existence, I crawled to the computer and voila “TheHeadJob”. All-the-while hyperventilating to absurd self-introspective nostalgia, and consideration of where I was with respect to the quantum universe and while transubstantiatelizing, wondering where all the rest of the butterflies had gone when I had blinked…. Ahhha!
