  • Plaster 3 Dimensional Design by MtnMan

One of three photos I have of a piece that was destroyed in an earth quake long ago. First thing I ever carved in plaster, I did no drawings in advance, and the hollowed out round scoops were an after thought that never entered my head when I first started carving it. I say all this because it was a unique and beautiful piece then and my fond feelings for it have not changed. I recently did a larger version in wood and used power tools to make it. It does not have the same energy though for a variety of reasons. I like to tell people if there was one thing I could show them that proved I have an artist’s talent, this would be the one piece.

  • Ecological Warriors by monocotylidono

A “green” army, get it? ;-) Small section of a large mural relief in the town centre of Roermond, in The Netherlands. I have not found out the artist yet, or what it is supposed to depict, but I love the strict geometrical style and all the different textures and shadows. The idea that it may be depicting warriors, came from the similarity to some of the archaeological findings from 8th century BC Greek art, like this:

About This Group

Our Group FORUM http://www.redbubble.com/groups/sculpture/forums
...A corner of the bubbling universe for all three dimensional creations, sculptural work seems scarce on the bub so let it be seen where it will be found! right here

Please try not to upload more than 1 or 2 a day so that all the members get a chance to be seen, this benifits you too because people are more likly to look at your work if you dont spam them with it, a lil like absence makes the heart grow fonder sort of thing.

Also I’ve found that the best way to keep members up to speed with the latest group info is for such members to be watching me, that way you’ll receive the ‘Sculptinator Mod Message’ notifications. B-mail me if you have any requests or anything and I’ll see what I can do. thanks guys!
