I have been waiting for this kind of shot for a long time. The storms were fierce with a ton of rain last night. I decided to take of work and spend the day at the falls near my house. I must have snapped 200 pictures today. What a great day!! I found a new toy its my infrared lens. Thanks for your help George Lenz / Layers and blends used in PhotoShop… / By using Photoshop, I used 4 different layers here to configure this piece. I took the clouds in one layer, added the egrets in another layer, George Lenz was so kind to help me with the moon layer and I also added a nice flood filter to give the reflections and blending them all in I’m staring out into the night / And trying to hide the pain / I’m going to the place where love / and feeling good don’t ever cost a thing, / And the pain you feel’s a different kind of pain / I’m going home to the place where I belong / where your love has always been enough for me / I’m running from you know I think you got me all wrong / I don’t regret this life I chose for me / But these places and these faces are getting old / So I’m going home / The miles are getting longer it seems / The closer I get to you…. babe / I’ve not always been the best woman and friend for you / But your love remains true and I don’t know why / You always seem to give me another try / I’m going home / To the place where I belong / Where your love has always been good enough for me / I’m running from you know I think you got me all wrong / I don’t regret this life I chose for me / But these places and these faces are getting old / Be careful what you wish for / cause you just might get it all / you just might get it all and then some you dont want / be careful what you wish for cause you just might get it all / You just might get it all / I’m going home to the place where I belong / Where your love has always been enough for me / And I’m running from.. you know I think you got me all wrong / I don’t regret this life I chose for me’ / But these places and these faces are getting old / But these places and these faces are getting old / I’m going home Credits to Chris Daughtry

my sister at her wedding (23.6.07)… / To achieve the soft focus on this photo I add a guassian blur to one of the channels (can’t remember which one), changed to sepia and then added a ‘soft light’ blending layer also a little dodging and burning… v. simple!

This portrait of the lovely Halley Mallison was shot during the Witching Hour in an abandoned bandshell in downtown Decatur Georgia… / I used a texture layer of ivy to enhance the ethereal and otherworldly qualities of the photo and to give it a more painting-like feel
