I haven’t been out much lately as my little girl has been poorly (so sorry if i missed some of your work) however, yesterday i NEEDED to get out with my camera and luckily i didn’t have to go too far. This is the iconic Angel of the North – you can see it driving on the A1 – it is such a powerful symbol and awesome to see.

This was taken at the same place as ‘boy alone’. I wanted to put it up because it really makes me smile and feel happy at the sheer lack on inhibition some children have – this is Abe being a conductor and singing his heart out – totally nuts!!!!! I admire this as i am and was as a child very self-conscious – so this is my tribute to those who are free-spirited!!! / (I have also put it up to put on my calender :0)) * /

My childhood seed / has finally bloomed / amid the tangled brambles of a forest / confused / by distorted shadows / and I struggle to push back / this oppressive canopy. / Here I stand on the banks / of a world that was once so beautiful. / In this frenzy of growing up / I had almost forgotten the untroubled sleep / of innocent dreams / and those moments laced with magic / only children are divine enough to recognize. / For a moment / I can only stand in the silence / and breathe the fragrant bliss / of absolute stillness. / For a moment / I know that the world I remember / was never really as magical / as wonderful / as I had once believed. / It was only the projection of naïveté / and make believe / but there / upon the horizon / I saw such a world / so far beyond my reach. / The burdens of age were forgotten / and fell away / and, for a moment / I was a child / again. This scenic pic is a combination of shots. All shots were taken in California. My husband loves to feed the birds, and other critters along the coast line. I took shots of him feeding the birds, and I love to take shots of sunsets over the coast. The west coast sunsets are some of the best.
