Concept, styling, photography, production, model – me. This was extremely spontaneous, pretty much did it this afternoon. Was wrapping up a friends bday present and had about 4 metres of the paper left. Stuck the whole lot to the wall and set up the shot. Recently bleached my hair again so with curls the look sort of took on a deranged goldilocks element, hence the title. Enjoy :D

Acrylic on canvas. I painted this lovely after meeting a beautiful women who does spirtual readings. We talked about celebrating being women and being feminin. Gypsy rose was born!

I love doing portraitures. This was my first time I did an oil painting and I thought it came out well. It took me 2 weeks to do this as I had to allow for drying time. / I normally do pencil, acrylic and pastel portraitures, but felt that the oils were very satisfying as it allows for retouching and revisiting the subject Oils on Canvas

/ One Spring Day Ladies Lace Up Keds Shoe at Zazzle / One Spring Day Childrens Slip On Keds Shoe at Zazzle / One Spring Day Card / Spring Posy TShirt / Spring Fairy ‘Friends Series’ Spring Friends by Karin Taylor Spring Friends comes from a detail of One Spring Day which is a mixed media production (ink, pastel, charcoal, acrylic) on canvas textured paper. I have also used a variety of found objects, including lace and ribbons…and an especially beautiful gold paint for the wings which were underpainted first to created texture. On of my favourite paintings, my heart and soul went into this piece…two sweet little girls in darling dresses hanging out in the garden together….what could be nicer.

Just finished my new painting made totally in Photoshop…”Flower mind…” is the result of my search of new styles and techniques. So this is my first Photoshop try! Yay! :) Hope you like it! Critique is very welcome! :) “Flower mind…” is also my entry to the Something New challenge in the Challenge Café group being my brand new work and also a fresh new style and technique for me :)
