THE UNCONDITIONAL LOVERS / 110 X 160 cm canvas. / For details see it in a large view. The Fool comes to a cross-road, filled with energy, confidence and purpose, knowing exactly where he wants to go and what he wants to do. But he comes to a dead stop. A flowering tree marks the path he wants to take, the one he’s been planning on taking. But standing before a fruit tree marking the other path is a woman. He’s met and had relationships with women before, some far more beautiful and alluring. But she is different. Seeing her, he feels as though he’s just been shot in the heart with cupid’s arrow, so shocking, so painful is his “recognition” of her. As he speaks with her, the feeling intensifies; like finding a missing part of himself, a part he’s been searching for his life long. It is clear that she feels the same about him. They finish each others sentences, think the same thoughts. It is as if an Angel above had introduced their souls to each other. Though it was his plan to follow the path of the flowering tree, and though it will cause some trouble for him to bring this woman with him, to go somewhere else entirely, the Fool knows he dare not leave her behind. Like the fruit tree, she will fulfill him. No matter how divergent from his original intent, she is his future. He chooses her, and together they head down a whole new road. The idea of Animals acting like humans moves me and makes me think hard about how we treat them and each other on this planet. All too often we disregard the feelings of others, especially animals and I think we human beings suffer just as much for it! These two crows are an example of animal nature and human nature being so much alike. They feel and have families and connections with each other just like us and they learn from us humans. So the next time you see some crows think about how they are with each other, tender and caring and compassionate. Sunflower Sunset What can I even say about this shot…....the sky just really cooperated with me when I was shooting this, one of the most gorgeous sunsets I had ever seen. I ventured out in the field but then as I did I stepped back, and realized that maybe I good overall shot would be god as well. I wasn’t alone either, somewhere out in that field are several other photogs…..I could see the flashes and a couple people who also had their tripod set up . I just sat in awe, taking all this in, it was almost to perfect a scene….and I was just sitting there with my mouth open saying aloud “You have got to be kiddin’ me!!! Thank you Lord!” lol So I went to town and kept shooting, venturing out later into the field, and just kept firing shot off after shot.
