I made some free buttons for your website and feel free to use them. When you need another text, just ask me, I will do it for you… You just need to copy the address under the button and copy it to your profile / My bubble -> account -> edit your profile -> about you You write for this the copied address between two exclamation marks without a space / !copied address! After this you write a double point and the link url-address (http://www.redbubble.com/link…..). At the end it should look like this: / !copied address!:link And at the end a little tip…. When you would like the visitors to see also your older work, not just only the first page… then lead them randomly to any page in your collection… All you have to do is to fill in this form and copy the address you get as a link for example to your my clothes button.... After this visitors will land not only at the beginning pages of your collection, by randomly everywhere…. :) http://images-2.redbubble.net/img/art/size:ularge/view:main/1865589-2-art.jpg http://images-0.redbubble.net/img/art/size:ularge/view:main/1865593-2-clothing.jpg http://images-1.redbubble.net/img/art/size:ularge/view:main/1865597-2-writing.jpg http://images-0.redbubble.net/img/art/size:ularge/view:main/1865604-2-calendars.jpg http://images-3.redbubble.net/img/art/size:ularge/view:main/1865608-2-wallart.jpg http://images-3.redbubble.net/img/art/size:ularge/view:main/1865610-2-greeting-cards.jpg http://images-2.redbubble.net/img/art/size:ularge/view:main/1865614-2-bubblesite.jpg http://images-2.redbubble.net/img/art/size:ularge/view:main/1865621-2-sold-work.jpg http://images-0.redbubble.net/img/art/size:ularge/view:main/1865624-2-bestseller.jpg http://images-1.redbubble.net/img/art/size:ularge/view:main/1865630-2-favorite-work.jpg http://images-3.redbubble.net/img/art/size:ularge/view:main/1865637-2-featured.jpg http://images-1.redbubble.net/img/art/size:ularge/view:main/1868788-2-website.jpg

RedBubble Thursday (and Logo Design For Food)
by RedBubbleThe Logo As you’ll remember from this we set Xavier ...
The Logo As you’ll remember from this we set Xavier the challenge of redesigning the logo on pain of biscuit deprivation. However the sneaky man went vegan at about the same time just to thwart us. But he still came through with the goods, which now adorn the top of every page for a day or two. I, for one, think it reeks of awesomeness. And all he used were these, in fact, only about two of these: And to show that he’s not wasteful, after the shoot, he then proceeded to make two huge toasted sandwiches, and promptly ate the logo: He was extremely encouraged by all of your support, and thanks you. However at the time of going to press no one could comment on whether he had scrubbed his feet or not. The Competition In other news, the new Compassion competition (and group) has been launched, and Gaia has been closed. Other things We didn’t quite finish the other big things we were working on this week, but we’ll have a special RedBubble Wednesday this week (due to Anzac day). Reminders There is only one week left before this awesome t-shirt concept disappears forever, go improve your wardrobe. Your faithful reporters Charles Foster Kane & Justin

Art Criticism: How to Criticize a Work of Art

Art Criticism: How to Criticize a Work of Art / A four step process This is what I give my students as a guide to art appreciation: 1. Description- What do I see? Study the work in detail carefully. Describe the work in full detail. Be factual. Mention everything you see. 2. Analysis- How is the work organized? Look for and talk about the elements and principles of art and design that seems to dominate the work. Look at how the artist has used The Elements of Art / • Lines- real and implied, curved and straight, direction of movement / • Shapes, Space, Forms- Are the shapes geometric or free-form? Where is the horizon? Where is your point of view as the viewer? (Above, below, in the work, or outside) / • Colors- Warm, cool, bright, dull, soft, bold, etc. / • Value- light: reflecting much light; dark: absorbing much light. / • Texture-Both the medium and the objects portrayed: rough, smooth, shinny, dull Look at The Principles of Design / • Rhythm- Are there repeats of elements or images? / • Movement- Is there an illusion of action? How does the eye move around the work? / • Balance- Formal or Symmetrical, informal or asymmetrical / • Proportion- The size relationships between one part to the whole or one part to another part / • Variety- Visual difference and contrast within the work / • Emphasis- What part is dominant, and what part is subordinate? / • Unity- Does the work hold together? 3. Interpretation- What is happening? This is more than storytelling. As in literature, you need to interpret and generalize from data given. You need to find the metaphor or allegory in the work. What is the artist trying to communicate? Use your intelligence, imagination and courage to explain and tell the meaning of the work. This is based on the facts you have observed and your own life experiences. You can express your feelings, but they must be backed up by the observations you have made about the work. 4. Judgment- What do I think of the work? Does the work hold together visually? Does it communicate with the viewer? Judge whether the work succeeds or fails. You give your opinion backed by the three steps above. To make a judgment, you need to be honest with yourself. You need to know why you feel the way you do. Three Theories of Judging Art Imitationalism -Some people believe that art should imitate what we see in the real world. / Formalism – Some people believe that the most important part of a work is in the use of the principles of design and the elements of art. A work is successful if the texture, color, lines, etc are organized properly. / Emotionalism – Some people believe that the most important part of the work is the mood the artist communicates. Perhaps it is best to use all three theories when judging a work of art. Adapted from many sources, including Arttalk by Rosalind Ragans

Hi anybody having problems with T/Shirt designing…. / I use software called Paint.net and find it so simple / any one wanting details just send bubblemail and I will answer straight away as I spend most of the day at Computer Hey just thought that I would sit and write out my way of doing it useing Paint.net / Here goes….. / First open paint.net then get new.click on image, resize :- and clear maintain aspect / and clear set absolute size, then set to 3200 pixels high and 2400 pixels wide then set resolution to 200 this sets the size to 12×16 inches. / save this as T/Shirt template.png / Open this and carry on as follows / to load a picture go to layer and click add image this will open up the place that you have your pictures stored, open picture that you want and it will appear in the top left corner, click on move pixels and you can then resize the picture and move it to where you want it to appear on the T/Shirt.having done that go to edit and invert selection / then edit and erase selection, you will now have your picture where you want it, / for further editing you can remove parts of the picture by using the eraser . / You can also add text if you want to. / I hope that this helps /

I put this journal in here, for all to see, as I have been asked quite a few times recently how to do it. So I thought I would just save myself having to type it every time. For all that need help to upload T-shirt designs. / First You need to go into where you upload T shirt images and save the T shirt template to your own personal files. / Then go into your photo program and open a new work area selecting TRANSPARENT in the background drop box. Then set the mega pixels to exactly 2400×3200. / Next put the template on to fit the workspace, and put your image over it centering it on the red lines. When you are happy with the placement etc of your image, delete the template and save the image as a PNG file. It is now ready to upload. / Hope this helps. I decided to put this info in here for all to read, as I had to type at least 4 times last night. / Good luck.

For those new to the world of t-shirt designs here is a quick and simple mini-tutorial that should help you create a working design using the GNU Image Manipulation Program otherwise known as The Gimp. It is free and available for download from here. I’ve tried to make this as simple as possible with only the absolute necessary steps, and as such it does assume some basic understanding of how to use the program, such as knowing where the menus are and how to use the tools. There are plenty of things you can do differently, but since I’m new to using the program I probably don’t know about all of them yet. This tutorial will probably be updated as I learn more about the program. 1. Create a new image, make everything in the new image dialogue look like this: 2. Paste the image into the document. Remove any bits you don’t want on the shirt… and make sure it has a checkered background, which indicates transparency. It’s best to merge all visible layers before exporting. If you have multiple transparent layers they’ll all merge nicely, but don’t flatten the image, because that would eliminate the transparency. Ideally you’ll want to end up with a single transparent layer before exporting. 3. Save as a PNG by typing “newshirt.png” as the filename. For some reason you can’t just choose the PNG filetype from a menu, you have to actually type the extension. I think this is because GIMP uses a plugin to export to PNG, and it’s not completely integrated. / Once you do that the PNG export box will pop up, make it look like this: And that’s it. Pretty simple actually. Once uploaded, the resulting shirt should look something like this: So there you go. If you stick to these steps, it should work fine – although if it doesn’t, please let me know by leaving a comment here.

GRAPHIC DESIGN AND PHOTOGRAPHY

Starting my own blog on this cause why the hell not! I WOULD LIKE TO RE-ITERATE SOMETHING SOMEONE SAID, This is an ARTistic community site, I been here since almost the beginning and am seeing a lot of people come here ASSUMING that this is a PHOTOGRAPHY SITE (which can be art too can’t it), BUT SOME DAYS I FEEL LIKE YOU ARE TAKING OVER… So you can take 2000 photos in a day and 1500 of them are good and you can upload them over 1 week. Great… To do a good piece of art take WAY LONGER THAN THAT…. even digital. Just something to consider cause MAN THE ART IS GETTING LOST, SO LOST IT IS MORE THAN ANNOYING. AM I AM A GRAPHIC ARTIST THAT TAKES PHOTOS. It really makes a lot of ‘photographers’ look a bit silly if they are commenting on my images and saying things like ‘nice treatment’. GRAPHIC ARTIST/DESIGNERS don’t really treat photos, we manipulate them and in a lot of cases mutilate them and take them completely out of context. Change light sources, create alternate realities and unrealistic artistic things. SO HERES A BUSHFIRE THAT COULD USE A BLOG OF ITS OWN…. WHERE DOES PHOTOGRAPHY STOP AND GRAPHIC DESIGN START.??? If you clip out a sky and replace it with another one, alter nature, add colouring, tone this, airbrush that, lengthen that body, etc. etc. etc. Aren’t you manipulating the original image and then that becomes GRAPHIC DESIGN??? DIGITAL ART – Art created using a computer. PHOTOGRAPHY – An image captured as close to what the eye can perceive (of course I know that you mess with brightness and contrast and have been doing tweaking forever, but wasn’t that originally to replicate the record of the event)... WONDER HOW MANY PEOPLE GET TRICKED BY GRAPHIC DESIGNERS IN THE MEDIA POSING AS PHOTOGRAPHERS. and I AM REALLY SICK OF HEARING ABOUT MONEY HERE… ARE YOU ARTISTS OR INDUSTRY… We all want to make money doing what we love, some of us do art regardless of money…

I have entered a few tees on Threadless.com. This is the response I received on one of them so far… “Hello Don Brand, Regarding: ‘Why?’ Unfortunately, your submission was declined. The Threadless staff has provided the following reason to decline your submission: We want every design submitted to Threadless to have the best possible chance at being chosen for print. Your submission was declined because we feel your idea could use a little more work to be up to the standard that will give it the best shot. We have a feature called “Critique” on Threadless.com that allows you to have your design critiqued before you submit it for approval. By using the “Critique” feature as a pre-submission tool, you can let the community help get your submission up to par. We’re certain this will help you improve your design!” I find it interesting that they can determine what is finished or needs work, and what does not. I have looked at the things they have accepted, and the designs they sell, and I am not sure I agree with them. An awful lot of their stuff is the same lame stuff you see on every other site. Here is the design I submitted that received this response… / / Himey is as finished as he is going to get. It wasn’t supposed to be complicated, just a simple statement. I will try submitting a few more designs and see what happens. If any of you have submitted anything to Threadless, and have had it accepted, please post it on this thread, so we can see what they are apparently looking for. Thanks.

Well we failed in our project to create more hours in the day – so we’ve resorted to pouring more fuel into the fire. Here’s the job ad we put together: RedBubble is looking for a standards-based web designer to help create polished user interfaces. We’d really like to meet someone with strong front-end development skills (you’ll know what that entails), as well as the visual design nous required to create usable and elegant screens. Standards-based CSS & XHTML, and an eye for visual design are required. Exposure to SEO techniques, Unix command line skillz and source control are all nice to have. Let's Focus On.....FROZENFA Interview
by Karin TaylorThere is a brand new initiative coming from the great creative brain of Red Bubble’s Jo O’Brien...
There is a brand new initiative coming from the great creative brain of Red Bubble’s Jo O’Brien who has begun a chain of interviews, dedicated to spreading the love and creativity. The fire was first fanned into flame by one of our most dearest bubbly people and friend, the wondrously musically and arty farty Muscular Teeth Now, Mr Teethy and I had a little conflict of interest at first over who would ask Frozenfa to do her interview…..since we’re both big fans of hers…..but I won out of course….being superquick with the bmail clickety click…and got to her first….phew…!!! Not that it matters, coz I think that lots of you are going to get the opportunity to share your hearts and arts with us…..and we are looking forward to hearing from you each and everyone, getting to know more about you, what makes you tickety tock and what makes you rock!!!! My interview with Fa is one of two that I’ll be journalling, so stay tuned as you may be next in line!! enough chit-chat…...read on…......................... Let’s Focus On….....FROZENFA interview with Karin / (Fa, tell us puleeze, what makes you tickety tock and what makes you rock?) / / aw, look…it’s baby fa….isn’t she adorable!! How does being a creative person and pursuing your creativity affect other aspects of your life? After i finally left the corporate world, i decide to venture into doing my tees and designs full time a.k.a. going jobless. Almost everyone says i’m being crazy and that i’ll end up being a free loader and won’t make it anywhere. i get people telling me left right center, about how tough it’s going to be.. or how shitty the world is out there and basically just assuming that i’d turn into a starving artist. my family too didn’t believe in me. but i did get a moral support from 1 friend then, Serena. and with just that 1 person believing in me, i just went ahead to live my life, my way. I no longer meet up with my friends unless they ask me out, which is always for a reason or another or they just feel obliged to. some thought am becoming a hermit. i’d say i’ve gotten to know so many more interesting people around the world in this 6mths.. From awesome photographers to cool writers to amazing painters.. i got introduced to PixelTerminator by Buddy Sears ... i get to do a collaboration design with Karin.. i got to meet Cvail73 when she’s here on holiday.. and just met a new bubbler, udonchow just now, who’s back to renew her visa.. and i think i’ll be meeting Krisso during his stopover to sg on his way to london.. hehe.. XD Since i’m “jobless”, i have more time to spend at home. i get to do the sweeping and moping the floor and making sure to dry the laundry and be ready to help my mum when she comes home. i am happy cos i get to spend more time with my family and be more helpful and useful to them. I am soo much more happier now. all the depression and being forced to do work i’m not interested in and having to deal with annoying people is over.. i can do my own work at my own pace.. i can draw what i want to draw, express what i want to express. and no, i am not a free loader! i live off my savings. no i am not from a rich family, everyone in my family just knows how to spend only when necessary, we don’t have air conditioner nor sofas at home! and no i am not rich, else i would have a physical shop by now. no i am not starving artist, i am still fat! errr.. dang.. ok fine, i need to exercise more.. (Tim: ROFL!!!) grrr… But you can call me struggling artist, yesh, i can accept that! =) am still struggling to find my own printers and working towards opening my own mini booth at a local market.. Tell us about one person or moment that has made your time on redbubble particularly special or meaningful Back during my early days at work, i was made to believe that i wasn’t creative enough and that all my designs are below standards. Back then, i believe that i’m not creative and am a lousy designer. with RSI and depression, honestly i thought i’d forever live in the shadow of other people.. But everything changes when i join RB!! i’d say the one person that i’m truly madly deeply hehehe thankful to i’ve met is Karin! Yesh, the big shining star in RB, Karin Taylor !! if you don’t know her, then you must be either new to RB or been really inactive here.. hehehe.. XD How special is she? as if you don’t know!! Oo” / Well you can check out our mushy tribute to each other here at her journal here... ehehe.. Basically, she’s been most encouraging and supportive of me and my crazy designs.. Heck, can you believe it, she’d even listen to me whining about silly non design related problems through bmail? i always feel so bad taking up her time sometimes with my whinings, but she’s always so encouraging and listening.. i am very thankful for that. Karin also turns out to be my VERY FIRST buyer (she kept it a secret until i started making other sales slowly but surely). hehe.. i received a birthday present all the way from overseas for the first time ever in my life from her too! and a bday card.. haven’t got a bday card in awhile.. Bday truly would have suck this year if it weren’t for her.. and this is what really moved me most. i will admit, that really made me cry!! XD Show & tell us about five works on redbubble that have moved or inspired you FIVE ONLY?! the one who started this must be joking… gosh.. ok, to those not chosen, no offence, k? as long as i fav your works, it means i really like them!! just my luck that i can only pick 5 now.. i’d choose… / by VirgiMax Designs / cos yea.. the people i love and care for hurts me like hell, never thinking about how painful their words or acts are.. / One Spring Day by Karin Taylor / reminds me how fragile friendship could be.. how it maybe spring one day, and autumn the next.. how easy it is to lose a friend.. and how a new friend may suddenly spring into my life out of nowhere.. this piece just touches me.. =) / I Am Not Strong Enough by lisadee / I once wrote an email with exactly the same title when i was at the risk of a mental breakdown.. and the image there really reminds me of how far i’ve come since then.. / Beach Duet by Karin Taylor / this wonderful piece inspired me to come up with / / Summer Fun =D / Girl on Red Wall by Karin Taylor / inspired me to come up with a bunch ofFrazzle the cat design and also starts off my first collaboration artwork ever! Thank you so so much, Karin!! —-—-—-—-—-—-—-——- Thank you Frozenfa for filling us in more about you, your art, your creative life and what makes you tick tock and truly rock!!! A fabulous interview giving a ‘behind the scenes’ look at Fa’s life, her values, and i think it gives a little insight into just how special a person she is, someone who has a heart full of courage, depth of feeling, and I think she is what they call an old soul with a heart that’s so big and swelling with love….send some love her way peoples, and visit her bubble today…you won’t be disappointed i promise :D You may wanna buy some of her art, coz i think she’s gonna be real famous soon!!!! Fa will pass on the love, by requesting two more bubblers whom she admires and respects to do interviews with her, and journalling it…..this way we all learn so much more about one another, as well as being introduced to other artists through the five….. I was so shocked, honoured and moved that Fa chose no less than three of my artworks as being of special significance to her, this really rocks my world fa Ps I highly recommend fa’s TIM character (Twisted Inner Monster) for every ailment under the sun! / Hugz and Glompz / and enjoy reading everybody !!!! Love Kaz, KT, Karin, k, me :D / (all my aliases ….)

Two Latest Designs sold (with many thanx) to beautiful fellow bubblebees Firstly, last night some time Liesl Yvette Wilson an aussie artist living in London who does gorgeous children’s illustrations (please pay her a visit !!) purchased my latest Kokeshi Doll Autumn TShirt: ...and NEXTLY, SalsBells69 a fellow bubblebee and wonderful photographer from Australia, purchased my other latest tee design Fantasy Island Retro TShirt: I have been really down lately, and these two sales have boosted my spirits enormously, a very big thank you to my two special buyers Leisl and Sal :) thanx guys! _________ NEX BIT OF NEWS * ( / i see you’re still here, thanx so much for hangin’ round for next bit) / ________ Hi fellow bubblebees, I joined red bubble community on or around about the 7th February 2008 (near on 10 weeks ago) i think :) i never know what today’s date is even tho it’s apparently right here on my computer screen…i am really a computer illiterate in many many ways (sh don’t tell anyone that lol) – my friend frozenfa knows this only too well :) Just me with a special update…for a while now I’ve ummed and ahhhed as to whether to share or not about sales and figures…when i first started bubbling i was so excited i couldn’t help but share good news…but as time’s gone by, I’ve noticed the ups and downs emotionally that we all go through over the good and bad times. I think all of us struggle terribly when no-one’s buying our work, and I’ve had an immense struggle with it myself. When no-one’s buying you think, okay, it’s all over bar the shout, i’m finished, i’m washed up, i wanna get out of this cruel game which is a roller coaster ride to say the least I’ve watched friends many times feel despairing, and I know that feeling so well. So sometimes sharing about sales and views can crush someone else’s spirit, or it can spur them on to become more and more determined to win the big prize :) I feel seeing someone else’s success does both these things to me. I’m not sure how the rest of you are going with your sales and progress, i’m told some even make close to a living from selling their work here…...I’m far from that goal ….. but we must continue to encourage one another all the more if some are feeling low and flailing, there are so many wonderful artists here, and i see they have no comments on their work, or just one and i wonder why is that? I have been so encouraged by this wonderful community and the warm sentiments fill my heart with joy and put a spring in my step, i can assure you all of that :) and I wanted to say thank you to everyone for being like, my extended family of brothers and sisters :) Anyway, I’ve been keeping quiet about sales and views for a while…..i wonder whether if you’re doing well..people will drop you off their watchlist….or if you’re doing not so well, people let you go anyway, i really don’t know…. But i try to be honest about who i am, so i’ve decided to lay it on the table today….and here are my stats :) Ten Weeks on Red Bubble art views 25,045 / clothing views 7,350 card sales 25 / tshirt sales 12 / _print sales _ 1 total sales* 38 translated $$$’s $163.48 ________ FINALE _ (if you’re still awake and stuck with me til this / point, i must applaud and congratulate and send you / big hugs and thanx :)_ ________ I’ve been very busy lately, as i was commissioned by some folks in United States to create some designs for a business proposal…don’t think i can say much more than that…but stay tuned as it could turn into something big….and that would be very cool :) thanks for listening to my guff everyone, love yas all :) big hugs from Karin xo

Today is the love of my life’s birthday!!! He is turning 30 years old!!! To help celebrate, I have decided to buy him some t-shirts – one of my own and one from another lucky Red Bubblian. So, without further adieu, I present the Greg’s Birthday Contest!!!!!! From now until October 1st anyone can submit a t-shirt design to this contest by adding a comment below. Here are the rules: The design must be on a t-shirt. The design should be tagged with GregBday08 (please tag your work if you want to have it considered, because we will be using this tag to browse the entries). You should place a link to your work in the comments section below. A simple link will do, but a photo link will be even better (brownie points!). There are no requirements for theme, style, or color (just make sure it follows standard Red Bubble Guidelines). You may want to read the below, short list of his likes to get an idea of things that will catch our eyes. Designs should be your original work and all sources should be cited appropriately. If it is one thing I abhor, it is designers who use images or other material from the internet and then do not give proper credit. So, please give credit where credit is due. That is all we ask. <—This is Greg. Some of Greg’s likes: dragons, science fiction, fantasy, witches & wizards, video games, board games, astrology, sodoku, chocolate, music, food, sushi, cocktails, traveling, road trips, computers, technology, coffee, hot chocolate, baking, cooking, robots, anything mechanical, the paranormal, mysteries, Halloween, sarcasm/wit, humor, and books. Favorite colors: blue, gray, black, beige, brown, green, silver. How it will work: On October 1st, I will announce that the contest is closed for entries. On October 2nd, Greg and I will log on to Red Bubble and do a search of the tag GregBday08 and we will browse through ALL the entries and add the finalists to my favorites list. On October 3rd, we will announce the winner via a journal posting and buy the winning design. After we receive the design, Greg will wear it for pictures and the pictures will be added to the buyer’s booth and to a special journal along with an interview promoting the winning designer. The winning design will also be featured in The Amazing Little Pieces of Awesomeness Gallery (formerly the B.Christopher Designs Virtual Gallery) and in my Monthly Addictions Showcase for October 2008. So, not only will I buy the t-shirt, but I will promote the hell out of it as well! This is a fantastic opportunity, IMHO, and a great way to celebrate my partner’s b-day!!!! So, get cracking on submitting those designs!!! If your design is already in my favorites, you can still submit it – it just means you have one up on the competition but no guarantees. LOL! Good luck to everyone and all. Cheers! ~ Brian (bchris) :o) P.S. I may not be on here until tomorrow cause now I have to go to the party. P.P.S. I am submitting this to all of my groups because this covers a lot of area and I hope most group hosts would love their members to get in on the action! NOTE: I added a few more likes to the list. Tee-hee… =] / Sep. 28th UPDATE: WOW!!!! I want to thank all those who have entered so far!!! Such great designs!!! Yes, you can submit more than one design. There is NO limit to the number of designs you can submit! Yay!!! Greg saw the post briefly before going to bed last night and was so touched by all of your comments! Thank you so much! :) / October 1st UPDATE: Thank you to all who have taken the time to enter this little contest of ours, we are so thrilled and excited by all the entries!!! Today is the final day and at midnight (Pacific Time – that is like 10 1/2 hours from now) we will end the contest and start going through the entries. I have already commented on some of the entries and have not had time to comment on all the latest entries because this week is full of family birthdays for us. Last night was my cousins bday and today is another cousins bday…phew…!!!! LOL! So, tonight is the finale and tomorrow the selection process begins! I cannot wait! I have a feeling there will be some exciting news on the 3rd, when we announce the winner! :) / October 2nd Update: The contest is “officially” closed. Sorry I was not here to close it right at midnight, but I was out late last night taking some of my cousins from Wales to Knott’s Scary Farm and celebrating birthdays. Two of them are leaving today, so it has been hectic to say the least. But, never fear, we will be selecting the finalists. Right now!!!!! So if your design gets favorited in the next few minutes, it is a finalist. I will also be writing a journal entry regarding the finalists after they have all been selected. Thanks again to everyone – all the designs are amazing! You can view ALL the finalists here. :)

Landell Designs – Fashion Shoot / / Contact: landelldesigns@hotmail.com / / Recently I had the absolute pleasure of conducting a fashion shoot at The Croft Institute / I was approached by Lisa Defazio in regards to doing this shoot and leaped at the opportunity! / / / Model: Lelia Thomas / / / / Lisa was also sweet enough to answer some questions for me…. / / PLV So, what exactly is it that you do? / LISA I am a clothing designer, I make wearable fashionable clothing that flatters the female form…it is what I was born to do. I had a sewing machine before I attended primary school. / / / Model: Jo O’Brien / / / / PLV How do people get to see your stunning designs up close? / LISA I can be contacted on the email address above regarding event nights. My label is not available in stores only at invitation only events. / My first launch will be held within the next four weeks. / / / Model: Rebecca McLean / / PLV Where is your business headed? / LISA I want to be an exclusive well recognized quality Australian label made locally with concept stores in every capital city – to begin with :) / Then New York, London, Paris, Germany and Japan. / / / Model: Bridget Mcgrath / / PLV Tell us more about you as a designer… / LISA I believe fashion doesn’t have to be overly complex or difficult to wear, I intend my clothing line to be the garments you look forward to wearing, to be the first thing you reach for in your wardrobe. I design items that can be worn in a variety of ways, dressed up or down and can be worn by the young and old alike, classy, distinctive, timeless often with styling from another time. Proportion and silhouette are of paramount importance to me, the cut of the cloth should do all the work for the wearer. / / / / / / LISA In reality I am hoping the label Landell Designs will offer women solutions, giving them the pieces they have been looking for but could never find; flattering beautiful clothing they love to wear. / PLV Thanks Lisa! :D / / / Model: Lisa Defazio / / / /
