I have been waiting for this kind of shot for a long time. The storms were fierce with a ton of rain last night. I decided to take of work and spend the day at the falls near my house. I must have snapped 200 pictures today. What a great day!! I found a new toy its my infrared lens. Of course I have many different shots just like this :-) I posted a photo in color as well at a different time called – Approaching / Autumn / ....................................................................................................................... / / ....................................................................................................................... / Click to View By Category: / - Waterfall Photos / - Selective Coloring / - Infrared Photos / - Black and White Photos / - Animal Photos / ............................................................................................................... / / ................................................................................................................ /

Meg had fun posing, and Nanna had fun with the processing! Created with two photos and a few layers. Extracted the background from the legs, desaturated the colours, overlaid a photo of a texture and blended the background image through. This image made Photo of the Day in the Photo Art category on http://www.shutterbugs.biz/ today (18 Nov 08) ... !!! Landscapes Trees Cards EOD Rusty Flowers Architecture Macro CatchAll DM

My new wolf friend seemed to like having his pictures taken – he stared “up close and personal” right into the lens. I believe it is only fitting to donate the proceeds of the sale of this image to a park that more than 200 wolves call home! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park

/ ............................................................................. / This is one of those shots, at least for me, when you get it home and see it on the computer screen you are just interested in why you shot it this way, and it is a totally different perspective. / .............................................................................. / Mode = Shutter Priority / TV = 1/6 / AV = 20 / 115 MM / ................................................................................ / Shot using a Canon Digital Rebel XTI 400D / ................................................................................ / Click to View By Category: / - Waterfall Photos / - Selective Coloring / - Infrared Photos / - Black and White Photos / - Animal Photos / ............................................................................................................... / / ............................................................................................................... /

This is a mod I made of my daughter using Photoshop CS2 and Photo Booth. This is my spin on what our mothers used to tell us (don’t make faces or it might stay that way)...lol

The bridge reminds me of an emotion of solitude, which is not to be confused with loneliness. The former leads to an internal peace and being one with nature and oneself while the latter was a feeling of being forced to be alone, deprived of freedom and choice. I used to call this photo “Peaceful Bridge” until a young patient of mine (at the time she was nine years old) explored the difference between solitude and loneliness. When the image was presented to him as an illustration, he exclaimed, “Oh, solitude is peace, inner peace!” And the true title of the piece was born. “Often it is the most deserving people who cannot help loving those who destroy them.” / / -Herman Hesse / I’ve decided that I’m going to enter this (edited today) into a contest next month to try to win a new 10 MP Samsung camera. No, I won’t ask you to go vote for me, or even reveal the name of the other site. (out of respect for RB) But-I will challenge you to come up with an interesting title for this! Titles are very important to me, and I think a strong title sets the stage for presentation, etc. The chosen title will be used for the contest entry & I’ll post a link to your RB page here crediting you with the title regardless of if I win or not. Sound fair? Good. Let the titling begin! And don’t be afraid to be “out there” with your creativity. ;) Thanks! / -Birgitta / / (downtown Louisville, Kentucky/USA) (ends October 31, 2008-chosen title will be announced Nov. 1st) / WINNER: Paul Tupman / TITLE: “They Said The Sun Would Shine” Thanks so much everybody for participating, and your comments. They’re much appreciated! And special thanks to you Paul. I adore long titles & anything to do with the sun-but you didn’t know that! Great title. :) I’m entering this shortly into the contest and I’ll give you full credit for the title, as well as link your Redbubble profile page in my contest entry. :) / http://www.soaphoto.com/contest/gallery/gallery.asp

I didn’t intend for the striped part (bottom) to / be like that. I’d added an “artistic frame” and was trying to / move it around with the hand tool-but accidentally clicked / the magic wand instead. I liked this particular accident…heh. / / Self Portrait / (taken last week) / / Featured: Self Portrait / / /

TUTORIAL: Tee Shirt Helpful Hints
by Patricia Montgomery_I am certainly no expert at making tee shirts. I know there are others out there who are the real experts. So I’m just going to share…
I am certainly no expert at making tee shirts. I know there are others out there who are the real experts. So I’m just going to share a few helpful hints that came out of my struggles to get two tee designs uploaded on RB. Here’s what I did: Opened Photoshop Elements (or any other image editing program) and set up a new empty page. Set the dimensions to 2400 width x 3200 height with a transparent background. IMPORTANT NOTE: If the background is not transparent, it will not work! If you are one pixel off on the dimensions, it will not work! You cannot transpose the pixels either (NOT 3200 width x 2400 height) as it will not work! Transferred (copied) an image to the blank/transparent background. Added text to complete my design. Saved image as a .png file. NOTE: Other file extensions (such as .jpg) will not work! It must be a .png file! Uploaded to Redbubble with a default color and a default style. This will be the color and style (short-sleeve, long sleeve, etc.) you want to display on the page to showcase your design. NOTE: If you forget to choose the defaults, it will not work! Should I have a contest to see who can guess all the things I did wrong when I first tried to upload a tee shirt design? LOL! Don’t hesitate to let me know if you have problems or further questions. Have a blessed day! / Patricia OTHER TUTORIALS BY PATRICIA Add Buttons To Your Profile Page How to make a calendar Downsizing those example images on your profile page Adding Examples (Card, Laminated, Matted, etc) To Your Profile Add photos to your profile description Adding emphasis to your text Emphasis with light gray text
