...if only they grew on trees… Winner in Challenge 20 at the Challenge Cafe :) I was so flattered this week to have Stacey Yount send me a Bubblemail telling me that this artwork had inspired her to write a poem for a husband. She even bought my artwork as a card and is going to write the poem inside and give it to her husband!!! LOVE IT! I think it matches the image perfectly and she has kindly given me permission to display it here. It is so exciting to collaborate with someone so talented (and she is a lovely person too). Model – Meluxine The height of winter, she’s laying on wet frozen ground, in a vintage dress and my ugg boots, full to the brim with Hungry Jacks, watching me dance like a crazy person with a head cold around her when suddenly the sun breaks through right at the perfect moment, and she manages to pull of that look like it’s as easy as microwave popcorn. / This girl rocks. Sales of this Design? – 1 sale so far :) / ‘Beach Series’ card by Karin Taylor Still Waters sold very early on, but she is one of my favourite images. I was inspired by Margaret Preston’s work on this occasion, wanting to give the impression of a print somehow. This is a mixed media production in which I used ink, pastel, acrylic and charcoal.
