  • This is my version of a sign of the times. How we put our faith and hope into false symbols. An enlightened awakening of our narcissistic quest for personal gratification. It’s about good and bad, right and wrong and how it all means nothing in the end. My god what am I talking about? • 'Aching,' Northern Rwanda
    by Melinda Kerr

    US$5.32–US$121.60

This child watched through a broken window as we worked inside. It’s times like this when the natural, uncontrived symbolism of circumstance just presents itself to you and all you have to do is click. There was not pretence, no staging, no crap. Just reality. It still engages me now. Look at his eyes. What is he thinking? He’s aching. He is full on aching. How can I help them more, how can I help them more, how can I help them more… Please give if you can or pass it on to someone else. That’s giving too. All proceeds to charity. NOW AVAILABLE AS A CHRISTMAS CARD! /

  • On the 12th day of May 2008 I witnessed (along with thousands of others) a perfect circle in the form of a rainbow around the sun at about noon-time at a beautiful place in the Philippines. Completely perplexed, stunned and amazed at this extraordinary and divine sight, I HAD to create this artwork. Im not sure where you were or what you were doing at this same moment of time but I guess this is all we have. Small pigments of time all squeezed together. And if we’re blessed enough, we get moments like these and realise even for a second the gravity of God’s love. There were no photo’s taken at the time and all I had available to me was the memory of this moment… The moment my heart burned. Print available. / Vector digital art created in illustrator.

  • / / / Christmas Rainbows Nativity is a mixed media production on brown paper / I used white acrylic gesso under, with a mix of chalk pastel, black marker and charcoal to create this little piece especially for Christmas 2008 You may notice that each character has a Heart… / Jesus’ heart is white – symbolic of his purity / Mary has a pink heart – symbolic of a mother’s gentleness and softness / Joseph’s heart is red – symbolic of father’s strength and reliability The idea of sending Rainbow Wishes for Christmas 2008 seemed appropriate in light of our global situation, the Rainbow stands for Hope or Promises made that they will be fulfilled…. I think we are all hoping for the fulfillment of the promises made to us by our governments, our leaders, our friends and family for PEACE and GOODWILL towards all men, regardless of race or creed….and not least of all God himself who spoke about rainbows being a sign of promise and hope, and also Jesus who’s birth it is we celebrate, mainly because of the hope his birth put in our hearts for true freedom from our chains (but if you are not a believer, the artwork still speaks of the promise of hope…..if not a believer in hope…then this one isn’t for you …but perhaps it will speak to someone’s heart and help spread a little hope for the future around )

  • Breakthrough
    by StacyLee

    US$4.99–US$114.00

When hard times hit, you have to pray for a breakthrough. This image is my prayer for a breakthrough and perhaps it will become your prayer, too. Thank you Ruthie for your encouragement. Though the fig tree may not blossom, / Nor fruit be on the vines; / Though the labor of the olive may fail, / And the fields yield no food; / Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, / And there be no herd in the stalls— / Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, / I will joy in the God of my salvation. / -Habakkuk 3:17-18 Digital Mixed Media

So close,so far… / It felt like eternity… / I walked …and walked / lost in a paradise of ice Hopelessly crying, hoping / to be delivered from that immensity. / I reached the top of that icy pic / and saw a small refuge. For an euphoric instant / I saw His Face in the clouds / The Keeper of my souvenirs / I knew ,then / The reason of my wanderring… Gigi / / My first poem in english and first experience for me.This situation happened to me two days ago,I’ve got lost in the woods for 3 hours, walking and walking, desperate to find a saving light. It was so dark, even Tchoko was worried, chasing imaginary animals….then I saw thousands of stars all arround me,it was fireflies….it was like being part of the universe…nothing else but fireflies…then I realised I was out of the woods.I met 6 persons and asked for help, one of them let me do a phone call but Michel was working late and wasn’t there.I have to say that I hated humanbeings that night and I cried of rage instead of fear.I finaly saw a police car on the road and went back to where I was parked. It was midnight.Tchoko and I slept the day after, tired but happy to be home. / ...A true story ..thanks for reading…x / / PS. • Safely in Heaven
    by amarica

    US$3.99–US$91.20

I received a wonderful email this morining containing this letter. This letter inspired this work of art titled “Safely in Heaven”: THIS IS THE EMAIL I RECEIVED: i DO NOT KNOW MEREDITH OR ABBEY, BUT THIS STORY IS BEAUTIFUL This is one of the kindest things I’ve ever experienced. I have no way of knowing who sent it, but there is a beautiful soul working in the dead letter office at the Post Office. Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died, my 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so she dictated these words: Dear God, Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick. I hope you will play with her. She likes to play with balls and to swim. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her. You will know that she is my dog. I really miss her. Love, Meredith. We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office. A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had. Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, ‘To Meredith,’ in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called, ‘When a Pet Dies.’ Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey & Meredith and this note: Dear Meredith, Abbey arrived safely in heaven. Having the picture was a big help. I recognized Abbey right away. Abbey isn’t sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don’t need our bodies in heaven, I don’t have any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by. Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you. I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much. By the way, I’m easy to find, I am wherever there is love. Love, / God / ___ I personally believe all animals go to Heaven…. Re 5:9: And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; Re 5:12: Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. Re 5:13: And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. / ____ I created this work using a photo I had taken of my sister-in-law’s pet rottweiler named Lady. I used Photoshop CS3 to merge the images with an image a statue of Jesus from the Huntington Library and a picture of clouds from Arizona. Finally, I edited the image with Micrografx and finished the work. Digitally enhanced. Lady was such a gentle sweetheart. She became ill from lukemia and eventully succombed to her illness. The beautiful thing is that my nieces had already come to the Lord berore this. This incident brought us all closer when we were able to show our family scripture to support our belief’s about animals being created to live forever. Images Do Not Belong To The Public Domain. • Oh Father
    by Fountainhead

    US$3.99–US$91.20

This is an interpretation of my recurring dream when i was in high school. Always, in that dream, i find myself seemingly reaching for something, trying to hold on to something that was unknown to me. Perhaps it was about my own personal goals, perhaps it was about love. Perhaps it was just as it is. A dream. Credits: / Intergalactic Stock / Diesel Stock / Asunder Stock / Inobscuro / Trisste Stock / Caustic Stock / Unholy Stock / RoStock

  • as i watched the evil get its way…..the ones who sin, take and break move foward i wondered why I wasn’t being helped …why life comes so easily to some people …if they knew how hard life could be would they step a little more carfully whith what they had? I remember one person saying to me april God doesn’t always answer yes…and i though what an asshole …so easy to say when your life has been sugar coated…..so i thought maybe this God needs a little help hearing ….I was so full on anger nothing else could be felt this was my turning point…..I can’t expect to be envous of what another life is i have to take all that i was given ,the hurt the pain and even the joy and let it live… my two things in life i hold constant as I live …don’t juge somone by how they look that means nothing …...and don’t judge to someone unless you know the whole truth and story…and even then there is always grey.

    by LindaMcCarthy

    US$3.99–US$91.20

Count Your Blessings / Words by Johnson Oatman, Jr. When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed, / When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost, / Count your many blessings, name them one by one, / And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done. Are you ever burdened with a load of care? / Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear? / Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly, / And you will keep singing as the days go by. When you look at others with their lands and gold, / Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold; / Count your many blessings. Wealth can never buy / Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high. So, amid the conflict whether great or small, / Do not be disheartened, God is over all; / Count your many blessings, angels will attend, / Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end. Count your blessings, name them one by one, / Count your blessings, see what God hath done! / Count your blessings, name them one by one, / And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done. For all of you in the USA, I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!! / And I wish each of you here on RedBubble all success and happiness / and the abilty to count your many blessings and thank God for them. / I thank Him, among bounteous blessings, for the pleasure of / your company, for your friendship and for the inspiration and joy / I receive from viewing your wonderful works of art. I will be gone for the Thanksgiving weekend to be with family, / so I will see you soon! Much to do to prepare. Created in XenoDream / Lettering added in Photoshop.

My dog River posing for a portrait in the snow. She has ALWAYS liked her picture being taken since she barely opened her eyes at two weeks of age. Her litter mates ran around when the camera aimed at them but she stood in attention every time a photo opportunity showed up! :) I’m sure she’d be glad that I donate the proceed of the sale of her photos to Nature Canada as she loves woods and her deer friends as much as I do! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada.
