Another experiment with metallic blue paper as a background and the flash on my camera… haha, I guess it worked well. I never use my flash, so that’s why this is so experimental, hehe. It’s also the stamen of a hibiscus.

Jai Shri Ganeshaye Namah (I bow to you Lord Ganesh Ji) Original / Hand Painted / Oil-on-canvas / 24 X 20 inches * • *The Nava Graha Theory • We Hindus and many other faiths and religions worldwide, since ancient times, believe that the Nava Grahas (The Nine Celestial Houses) influence man to a great extent. The nine houses being, The Sun in the centre, (Then clockwise from top) Venus, Moon, Mars, Ketu, Saturn, Rahu, Jupiter and The Mercury. Each one of the nine houses have their own distinct Color palettes, Gems, Metals, Foods (Grains), Moods, Abilities, Attributes, Positive and/or Negative influence on the Earth and subsequently the life on earth which includes us! • Hindus, Budhists and many faiths and religions, since ancient times have also recognised the power of the Holy symbol of Swastika and have worshipped it as a symbol of an auspicious beginning as well as in many other forms and ways as per our own beliefs and traditions…. My interpretation of as to how the symbol of Swastika could possibly have come into being is, by joining each one of the nine houses, with straight lines ( as shown in this painting). ( After speaking with many learned people and scouring the internet etc., I’m yet to find a reference to this interpretation anywhere, so I guess, it’s my own interpretation as an artist.) Or is it my discovery through my art, that the swastika, which is a 1000’s of years of old holy symbol, was originally formed from the Navgrahas in the way as I have arrived at this interpretation? This question remains…unsolved, yet… Although…I CONDEMN THE WAY THE NAZIS MISUSED THIS 1000’S OF YEARS OLD HOLY SYMBOL…VERY VERY MUCH… Peace be with you, always… Jai Shri Ganeshaye Namah (I bow to you Lord Ganesh Ji) / IN OUR FAITH THIS IS THE SYMBOL OF LORD GANESHA…

Hebrews 2:1 We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. and Hebrews 3:12 & 13 See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. /

I Love this work,I had so much fun creating this art work , we all have been a FOOL or know some one who is a FOOL in our life time. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / Rhana Griffin / wrote a great Poem also called the FOOL , I love it and goes very well with this art work . / , Thank you Rhana , please do visit her site to see more of her work. / THE FOOL In the corner sits a fool, / her head, once held so high / now hangs between her knees / as hot tears of shame / fall silently to / drip onto her feet. In the corner sits a fool / her golden locks, / once tossed in confidence / now fall victim / to the rough hacking of the / shears held in her hands. In the corner sits a fool / the flowers of praise / once heaped upon her / now lie dead, turning to dust / borne away on the winds / of her own self disgust. In the corner sits a fool / her fine raiment / once worn so proudly / now ripped to shreds / by the talons of the many / whose den she accidently stumbled upon. In the corner sits a girl / broken but… / never beaten, / who belatedly realises / she has been played for a / fool Her tears now spent, / she raises her head defiantly, / fixes a baleful stare / upon the cause of her suffering / and whispers… / never again

Image of a high end Gold Plated Printerd Circuit Board with a Red Mask. / Details : Nikon D200 / Sigma 105 /F2.8 macro EX DC with SLD glass lens, tripod mounted. / I used 3 Studio lights ,( 2x 60cm softboxes + 1 Honeycomb “hairlight” ) / The lens was in macro mode at approx 8 inches from subject. / Flash by X syncy cord, Camera Rear Curtain Flash combined Aperture priority at 140 iso. / Xp compensation -1stop Matrix metering mode / XP was 6 seconds at F32 when i set out to make the image, i tries to make the PCB more dynamic by holding it at an angle by using a retort stand. because i was in macro mode the depth of field was very restricted, & so i had to go for a very small aperture to regaing the overall focus , i set the ISO to 140 and Adopted Aperture priority. ( i normally go for 100 to maintain max quality & minimum noise.) AP allowed the camera to determine the final EXP ,i needed to use a tripod due to the 6 sec Exposure. I opted for rear curtain Programmed Flash. My reasoning behind this is worth mentioning. the Flash will blast the image & give a harsh Washed out look, It also casts big shadows, & a Black background , Portraits often have a blue tinge to them. If you opt for rear curtain synch. ( in aperture priority mode) the camera attempts to Fully Expose the full image ( imagine an indoor scene < shadows, black back ground et> ). / But justas the shutter begins to close, Bang the flash fires & hits the Foreground !, very quickly the camera shuts down the flash & tries to compensate for what would be Massive ocerexposure. What you end up with is ( hopefully ) a brightly lit & well Colouerd image with Few Shadows. Try it with an indoor portrait, where there is at least 10 feet behind the subject, That will really show this Technique to its full. / any feed back is most welcome Pos Or Neg it’s all good.

“What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.” Matthew 10:27 Have you wondered why God doesn’t immediately take everyone who has accepted Jesus as Lord up to heaven? He leaves us here because we have a purpose and a calling as Christians here on the earth. We have been personally selected by God to be left here as a minority. The world has approximately six billion people and God has personally chosen a select group of people in whom He places His Spirit to serve as the source of light. When I consider myself in this way it turns upside down my goals and earthy ambitions. I’m not sure why God would choose such a weak and broken vessel as me for such an important purpose. Nevertheless I am convinced by His grace and favor upon me that His purpose and presence in my life are as real as the air that I breathe. Father God, please do not let me squander or overlook your passion and purpose for me while I tarry in this world. May I fear you and obediently submit to your call so that all may know that You alone are God, and that Jesus Christ is Your Son and Lord of all. This painting was inspired by the moving devotions penned and published by Oswald Chambers in the early 1900’s.
