A winter panorama shot of the valley Valldal on the west coast of Norway, taken during the christmas holiday. Stitched together of 15 pictures. Post-processing: / Stitched some pictures together, obviously. Fixed the contrast with curves, added a lighter curve only on the lower part as the valley was pretty dark, and the mountain tops really light. Added two black and white layers set to hard light (140%), mainly on the sky and the mountain tops.

Gargellen (1423m above the sea level) is a mountain village in Montafon valley, Vorarlberg, Austria. It makes a great basis for trips to surrounding mountains, Verwall, Silvretta and Rätikon groups of Austrian Alps. 26th June 2007. Canon EOS300X, Sigma 28-135mm. This started life as a general panoramic photo of the Blue Ridge mountains taken during a trip on Skyline Drive in VA. The main addition to the photo was the use of the fractalius filter but the most time-consuming part was trying to get the colour balance the way I wanted it to be. Software used….. Tucked away in the shadows of the Smoky Mountains, is Noah Ogle’s Place. Built abound 1880 by Noah an Cindy Ogle the closed section was built 1st.The far end section was built after having kids. turning it from a single pen to a saddlebag design. Through the efforts of the National Park Service, this historic Appalachian cabin has been preserved. This is located on the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park,outside of Gatlinburg,Tennessee,USA

An old lantern next to the entrance to the Virgin Mary Visitation church in Hejnice, Jizera mountains, Czech Republic. I feel that giving light is very symbolic for this place where the pilgrimage roads from several countries cross since the 13th century… February 2002. Canon EOS 500N, Sigma 28-135. A gaunt ruin still stands proud in the unrelenting heat of the midday sun in Oman. The trees , almost in the centre of the photo, are beached by the searing rays: they look dead but miraculously cling to life.
