Jai Shri Ganeshaye Namah (I bow to you Lord Ganesh Ji) Original / Hand Painted / Oil-on-canvas / 24 X 20 inches * • *The Nava Graha Theory • We Hindus and many other faiths and religions worldwide, since ancient times, believe that the Nava Grahas (The Nine Celestial Houses) influence man to a great extent. The nine houses being, The Sun in the centre, (Then clockwise from top) Venus, Moon, Mars, Ketu, Saturn, Rahu, Jupiter and The Mercury. Each one of the nine houses have their own distinct Color palettes, Gems, Metals, Foods (Grains), Moods, Abilities, Attributes, Positive and/or Negative influence on the Earth and subsequently the life on earth which includes us! • Hindus, Budhists and many faiths and religions, since ancient times have also recognised the power of the Holy symbol of Swastika and have worshipped it as a symbol of an auspicious beginning as well as in many other forms and ways as per our own beliefs and traditions…. My interpretation of as to how the symbol of Swastika could possibly have come into being is, by joining each one of the nine houses, with straight lines ( as shown in this painting). ( After speaking with many learned people and scouring the internet etc., I’m yet to find a reference to this interpretation anywhere, so I guess, it’s my own interpretation as an artist.) Or is it my discovery through my art, that the swastika, which is a 1000’s of years of old holy symbol, was originally formed from the Navgrahas in the way as I have arrived at this interpretation? This question remains…unsolved, yet… Although…I CONDEMN THE WAY THE NAZIS MISUSED THIS 1000’S OF YEARS OLD HOLY SYMBOL…VERY VERY MUCH… Peace be with you, always… Jai Shri Ganeshaye Namah (I bow to you Lord Ganesh Ji) / IN OUR FAITH THIS IS THE SYMBOL OF LORD GANESHA…

I’m so insignificant…I am because there’s the Sun…only then….I can be alive…So it’s the blessings of the Sun that we thrive on… Inspired by the ancient ways of Sun worship in the Hindu faith, religion, mythology and many religions and faiths worldwide.. This painting depicts the five elements, Earth / Water / Air / Sky and / Fire Oil-on-canvas / 36 X 24 inches ...this is what I personaly believe in.. is that there is just ONE God. How come? / This planet earth and the Solar (the sun)syetem sprang from the womb of the sun. (the big bang theory says so as well) it’s probably millions of years after the big bang, life began to spring up on our planet, we human beings were probably the last one to arrive lol:) It is us early human beings that had began to understand that we owe our life to the sun. The sun was the only God until great men and women who preached love, peace harmony amongst us came along and we began to worship them as Gods…it is our own interpretation or misinterpretation of their teachings that we should divide ourselves into religious groups and anyone who’s from another faith should be hated…(so sad) we defeat the very basics of their teachings that the holy men, messengers of God, the great teachers and givers of good to us, in Hinduism we call them Devtas which means ‘The Givers’…some call them prophets…some call them Gods as per their own reasons…For me personally The Sun is the God…If there’s the Sun, Only Then We are… This inspired poem is by a dear and a departed poet HAFIZ … I want both of us / To start talking about this Great Love As if You, I and the Sun were all married / And living in a tiny room. / Helping each other to cook, / Do the wash, / Weave and sew / Care for our beautiful / Animals. We all leave each morning / To labor on the earth’s field. / No one does not lift a great pack. I want both of us to start singing like two / Traveling minstrels / About this Extraordinary Existence / We Share, As If, You, I, and God were all married And living in / A Tiny / Room ...and this poem is by RosaCobos / Water melted from iced melted… / The lake of the new dreams.. / where the reflections of the love they share… / will get into the ear.. / travelling along the sun beams…. / down… there.. / into the profoundity. / Rosa (Beautiful picture… and wonderful poem….just tell your friend…) Featured Work… / Honored, Thank you Masterpieces: Literary Workshop Group

Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado…..and how I love shooting up there when the winter weather begins to roll on in…the wind is bad, the air—-freezing cold, but the images that one can capture are filled with atmosphere and drama, case in point, this shot here. I about froze my butt off getting this shot of Mummy Mountain, but I wanted something that really showed all the detail here….that represented what it’s all about being a nature photographer in Colorado…... / Thoughts welcomed! / HDR blending used to bring out more dramatic light and detail / John

This piece was inspired by my love and passion for nature. This image is comprised of 3 different photos I shot. The background is the Mountains in North Georgia. The hands are mine….. hubby helped with that photo :-)..... and a red-tailed hawk that I’ve used in other images in my portfolio. I’ve merged all 3 images and applied the Orton Effect in PS. / To Love Nature is to “Embrace” Her…..... Not destroy her!!

Upper Yosemite Fall as seen from across one of the meadows in early spring. Yosemite National Park, California, is perhaps the world’s best known example of a glacier-carved canyon. Yosemite’s giant waterfalls, towering cliffs, rounded domes, and massive monoliths make it a natural marvel and one of the most visited places on Earth. Yosemite National Park is located in California’s Eastern Sierras. It is comprised of Yosemite Valley, Tuolumne Meadows, Glacier Point, and other high country wilderness areas. One of the main attractions of Yosemite are its majestic waterfalls. The main falls are Yosemite, Bridalveil, Vernal, Nevada, and Illilouette. The best time to visit the falls is in May since the water is gushing. Bridalveil usually has a neat rainbow in the afternoon.
