Barack Obama on the campaign trail.

  • Barack Obama – Change for America, for the World, for All of Us On November 4, 2008, Barack Obama defeated John McCain and became the first African American to be elected President of the United States. In his victory speech, delivered before a crowd of hundreds of thousands of his supporters in Grant Park in Chicago, Obama proclaimed that “change has come to America.” Born in Hawaii, Obama will be the first U.S. President born outside the contiguous United States. He also will be fifth youngest President at a date of accession and the second since Lincoln whose primary political base is Illinois. President-elect Obama is scheduled to be sworn in as the 44th President of the United States on January 20, 2009. Information Courtesy of Wikipedia. • 32 Flavors and then some Colin Powell Breaks With the Republican Party and Endorses Barack Obama Regarding the efforts to portray Senator Obama as a Muslim Terrorist, Mr. Powell stated: “Well, the correct answer is, he is not a Muslim, he’s a Christian. He’s always been a Christian,” he said. “But the really right answer is, what if he is? Is there something wrong with being a Muslim in this country? The answer’s no, that’s not America. Is there something wrong with some seven-year-old Muslim-American kid believing that he or she could be president? Yet, I have heard senior members of my own party drop the suggestion, ‘He’s a Muslim and he might be associated terrorists.’ This is not the way we should be doing it in America.” Saying it with art. • Obama's White Picket Fence Speech
    by linaji

    US$8.31–US$190.00

I don’t want a political debate,, I only want to say how much I am in appreciation of someone within the American political arena who is willing to question how we regard each others differences.. Sweep them under the rug like child abuse used to be,, back in the 1950’s and before or just look, look at the demons square up. It seems the attention to where we truly stand regarding race, gender or sexual differences have to be examined before we can move forward. / I am an artist who loves/hates to look at my demons weather I use the pen and paper or a photo to tell the tale,, I know I have the capacity to change my world by looking under the bed and in the closet for the boogie monsters that are kept alive by the story of their reality rather than the reality itself.. / Peace On / xoxoxoxoxox

I actually took this photo today (US Election Day) in NYC. There were about four or five OBAMA mannequins in this clothing store near Union Square. / I did a bit of editing and selective color. I voted for him. So happy he will be our new President. The World will be immediately accelerated in a good way. He’s good at ‘fact finding’ and I’m hoping he’ll put a good “dent” into the global economy, healthcare and the “green-ness” of our environment.

  • A tribute to Barack Obama’s election win, I just collected what I considered were the most revealing photographs of Obama’s election win and collaged/masked them together, I hope, along with thousands of americans, that Obama is a man of his word and that many constructive changes are made, my respect and hope for a brighter future, following two disastrous terms of a Bush led government, goes out to the many American citizens who voted for change. Hope is all we have…
