I find myself taking the opportunity to snipe on other people’s sites who have praise for president elect Obama and it dawns on me I’m more honest posting something of my own. Obama is, in my opinion, the worst thing to happen to my country since we were born. I’m about to vomit over the amount of treacle flowing the streets and airwaves about this filthy bit of political construction from one of the most corrupt cities on the planet, Chicago—a city whose motto is Vote Early and Vote Often, the birthplace of America’s gangsters, is his home base. He’s a street thug, and he’s just been given the biggest stick of all. It’s as if someone from the mafia had just won the white house. The election was only about race, only about electing a black man, and this is a man who happens to be black and has no substance, no qualifications. Our miserable, shameful, delinquent, corrupt ‘free’ press never bothered to investigate or write a thing about him that wasn’t praise, or where all his money came from. Though they spent days on Sarah Palin’s wardrobe, and the profoundly illegal investigations of a private citizen whose only crime was questioning the messiah, conducted by Democrat elected officials of Joe the Plumber! Shouldn’t Obama have at least a bit more to offer than the color of his skin? With all the drooling throbbing ecstacy in the population at large, few are paying attention to what he stands for and what it will mean for everyone who lives here. And except for the accidental publication of previous remarks we wouldn’t know because all he’s said out loud is unspecified Change! Change! Change! One change he wants is our constitution, which he doesn’t like. It was written to protect citizens from the government. Obama said, as a professor in an NPR interview in 2001, it should instead be a document in which the government’s role and obligation to our daily lives is vastly increased. After centuries of trying to keep the government at bay, he wants it running every aspect, by law. He went from college to the senate and never held a real job in his life or managed a business. He’s completely naive about economics and world politics. And obviously our government is no place to learn either. Neither candidate said A WORD about this fabricated emergency bank bailout, not a word! And the bankers aren’t covering mortgages of the poor, they’re spending the money buying other banks!! Obama sat for twenty years in the church of a ‘preacher’ Reverend Wright steaming with racist hate for America and everyone in it who is not black; who promotes, among other things, the destruction of Israel, and the end to ‘rich white men’. Obama’s a friend to calypso Louie Farrakhan who says he was brought here by a space ship to rule the world, no whites allowed. And to Ayres and Dorhn and the Weather Underground, the radical liberals of the sixties who bombed innocent people and liked it. It’s not just being rich, it’s being rich and white or Asian or Hispanic that bothers him. Not rich blacks who are a target of their hate, not the athletes and entertainers, and CEO’s and Oprah. Why forgive one man’s racism and not another’s. This is the kind of racial divide promoted for decades here by Reverend Sharpton, Reverend Jesse Jackson, Harry Belafonte, Hollywood liberals, all of whom have figured out how to turn their poison into big bucks through extortion and intimidation. Obama said during his campaign he intended to crush the coal industry here by levying taxes beyond what could be paid against coal miners because coal is a dirty fuel. It won’t stop coal from being used here. It so happens that we import most of our coal now, from (guess) Indonesia. / / He is, like any elitist Marxist, intent on removing wealth from those who have earned it and giving it to those who have not. His taxes to all will be horrific to pay for his grandiose giveaway schemes. His inability to withstand our enemies will lead to more destruction here. Goodbye to private enterprise, private property, and hello welfare state on a massive scale. It’s an understatement to say I can’t stand him, and that I’m furious someone so incompetent and mean-spirited has reached the office of president. Maybe I’ll calm down in a few days. And no, I’m not a McCain supporter, I’m a registered Independent and think both parties suck. And I could not adore more Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, or Thomas Sowell, or Walter Williams, Reggie Jackson, Tina Turner, or Little Richard. / Obama’s going to suppress free speech, and our wobbly-legged press is all for it. Thinking he only means the opposition. Wait til he gets to them. A week ago, reporters from three major newspapers here were not allowed access, or to ask him questions, or stay on the Obama campaign plane because their editors endorsed the other guy. What scares me is that NO ONE today has said a word about his policies, proclamations, or plans to govern that may destroy our country. What happened to even a single voice that didn’t like him yesterday? Is the fix already in? Someone will be offended, and we’re no longer at liberty to offend? / Were Obama treated as if on a real playing field that views him as a man, not a black man making dubious history, but a man of ideas, I’d like to hear somebody other than me saying that just maybe those ideas are awful. He’s my idea of a very bad president. / / I lived through Clinton, I intend to live through Obama, and when the sheepskin drops off the wolf and the world gets to see what he’s up to, I’ll be here to cheer the good guy who replaces him, if we can still find one in America. I’m filled with hope. I’m sure we can.

  • Im not usually into politics but...

This is the only bulletin I will post on this subject because this is normally not my thing. If you do not have an open mind, are set in your ways, or just don’t give a damn about other people’s thoughts, don’t read any further. This election is a big one for sure, more of a life changing election than any one before this. I have noticed that in times such as these, people tend to let their feelings about things cause them to be ‘ugly’ and hateful. It is sad the the bi-partisan politics has caused this country to split into two groups, but hey, that is the way of the land I suppose. Let me tell you this before you read on; I am educated on this subject so don’t go trying to tell me otherwise for I will throw more articles and such down your throat than you can ever read in your life time. Second, I am neither democrat nor republican and do not care to be. I will vote for what I think is right, not what is popular or what my ‘party’ is voting for. I do not really care for Obama, I don’t really care for McCain, so keep that in mind when reading this. If you claim to be christian, which I do not so don’t try to throw that in my face, do not sit there and slander Obama for being Muslim. Last I remember, good Christians do not judge others; they let their Lord do it. The same goes for the whole race issue. A ‘real’ Christian would not slander Obama for being a black man. Black people have done wonderful things for our country and are no different than you or I. It burns me up when I hear or read people go on and on about how Obama is not Christian or that he is a black man. This whole country was created for those who wanted a freedom of religion or did we not all pay attention in history class? This country is and was dubbed ‘The Melting Pot’ for a reason; people from all backgrounds, races, religions and so forth came to this country so that they could live in peace without being percecuted for what they believed. So now in 2008 people are running around saying they won’t vote for a ‘n*’???? That isn’t Christian people. That is ridiculous. So just because I am of Irish decent and have pasty pale skin and reddish hair, are you gonna say I am not worthy of something or another? What if Obama was Catholic? Or Protostant? Or Babtist? Would that make a difference to you? Oh wait, I guess they are ‘true Christians’ then, huh? Whatever…..true Christians practice what they preach and if what I have written so far offends you, you obviously are NOT one. Moving on… / It is true, Obama is not one of the most ‘qualified’ men to ever have ran for president. What about George Washington? What the hell did he have to go off of? Um…nothing, he was the first in case you didn’t know that one. He turned out to be a pretty good president without credentials, wouldn’t you agree? It is true, I totally agree, when it comes to ‘qualifications’ John McCain has more experience, however, lets look at his running mate who will be taking over if he does make it to the White House and croaks in the next 6 months. FACT: Sarah Palin flat out said she had no idea what a Vice Pres does. (Does that sound qualified to you?) FACT: Sarah Palin wants to take Polar Bears off of the endangered species list so that the government can drill oil in Alaska. Sure, we would all like to stop our dependence on foreign oil however I don’t think that killing off an entire species for that purpose is a good idea, nor do many animal rights activists, which again, I am not nor claim to be. If you know anything about the environment or care to read the paper or at least the Yahoo News once in a while, you would know that every tiny creature in our world is there for a purpose. Go look up the problems with the bee shortage and then you will understand why this would be a problem. FACT: Sarah Palin is completely against abortion in any way, shape, or form UNLESS it could cause problems for the mother. Okay, let me get one thing straight, Im not one of those feminists that think that it is a womans body and she can do what she wants, because I am not. I have friends who do think that way and I do not judge them for that because I am not that type of person. I personally believe that abortion should NOT be used as a form of birth control for any girl who wants to go out and have unprotected sex and then decide she doesnt want to deal with the consequences, but I DO believe that if a woman of any age, gets raped by a stranger, friend, or even a sick pervert realitive, that she should NOT have to go through the mental anquish of having that child. It would not be a good emotional or mental situation for the mother or the child who would eventually learn of how they came to be and possibly the reason of their mothers’ resentment toward them, not to mention that in cases of incest, children are more likely to be born with serious problems both mentally and physically. Sarah Palin wants to rid us of the right to abortion in these cases. I have two daughters and if God fobid some slimeball ever did something like this to them, Sarah Palin would not want them to get an abortion. Sarah Palin would want them to go through with that pregnancy. There are many woman who are going to blindly go to the polls to vote for McCain just because his running mate is a woman. Think for one second how you would feel if your own daughter, your mother, your aunt, your sister, your best friend, any woman or young girl that you know became pregnant from a rape or from incest. Think about how that would affect their life, the life of you and their family….just think about that before you go to the polls. This is a serious issue and as a mother, I won’t stand for that. Sarah Palin is being investigated for about a million things…even hard core republicans who were all against the Bill Clinton/ Monica WhatsHerFace scandal should be able to see through this one. I mean c’mon, how are you gonna be all against Bill for getting his rocks off (not that I think it was right or that I am for him lying under oath like an idiot but still) and being investigated when this chick isnt even in office and is already being investigated? Seriously. So lets see, moving on…yeah, if anyone believes that you can see Russia from Alaska….wow, Im shocked you have the reading skills needed to read this. Even so, lets say you can. So seeing a country from a far distance makes you educated on foriegn affairs? Hell, in that case, I can say about 6 words in French, does that mean I can be VP too?? (I bet I can pull of that MILF look better than her anyways!) ;) Look, all I am trying to say is lets not be uneducated here. Do not claim to be something you are not. Do not judge a person based on their race, their background or what they believe. I’m agnostic, are you going to stop talking to me because I don’t believe in your God? Am I a bad person because my skin is lighter than yours? And more importantly, please do NOT go to those polls Tuesday with the intent to vote for a woman just because she is a woman. Woman have come a long way since we were even allowed to vote. We have become doctors, astronauts, biochemists, and yes, even Hillary and Sarah have shown us that woman can do anything we set our minds to. Please don’t cop out and stop using your brain just because awoman’s name is on a ballet. Thats all I have to say. Hope you enjoyed my rant. Again, if I pissed you off, sorry about your luck, I didnt’ intend to do so, only to make you think about using your head at the polls. ~Peace Out / Shannon aka HahpiStuff

I just turned off my TV after watching American history being made. The first black President of these United States was elected. / This instant by its very nature is the single most redefining moment of the last century for my great country. I only hope and pray--it WILL UNITE our states once again. It is in our best interest that we accept this change; and collectively join forces to move forward. / I did NOT vote for Obama-but-I am a man with a deep and abiding love for America-I am a true Patriot-and thus-the greater good of America is the overriding factor that must-and will-control my personal opinion; and fix my eyes on the BEST FUTURE for this land I love so much. We all must become the solution—and NOT the problem. Below is a Song that I wrote for one of my Movies called MUDDY WATER BLUES--I wrote then-what we all must embrace now—the racial hate from BOTH SIDES MUST STOP HERE! / THE COLOR OF SKIN A SONG BY DALE CRUM 3-13-2008 / The color of skin--does not make the man-but gentle of soul-and kindness of hand / Taken away—and that far too young--by burning arrows-the enemy strung / Shot from the bow-of the devil himself-one more son dead-in the prime of his health / If Jesus loves all-souls have no color-how can we keep on-hating each other? / The day it will come-or already be here?—When all men can stop--hiding in fear / From those who hold grudges-for sins long ago-still blaming now-for things nobody knows / They keep spreading lies-and fanning dead flames-I must say again-this seems so insane / When shall we listen—when shall we learn--when shall the racial-fires cease to burn / Hate is the venom-that flows through the fangs-then through the hearts-and innocent veins / Of those only guilty-of White or of Black-this is the madness-behind their attack / Born without choice-killed without voice-only fools will find fodder-in this to rejoice / How long will it be-till men learn to see-the folly of hate-and snake in the tree / Who whispers to all- who have ears to hear--to keep throwing gas-on the flames of fear / The time has come-for man to evolve-beyond seeing colors-of us, one and all / For we are just humans-in need of each other-that makes us all-sisters and brothers / We’re not just monkeys—standing upright--we’re all human souls-dear in God’s sight / All the lies-are whispered through fangs-stop listening to him-start using your brain / We are the problem-we are the solution-we are the ones-to stop racial pollution / We are the problem-we are the solution-we are the ones-to stop racial pollution / When shall we listen—when shall we learn--when shall the racial-fires cease to burn / Hate is the venom-that flows through the fangs-then through the hearts-and innocent veins / Of those only guilty-of White or of Black-this is the madness-behind their attack / Born without choice-killed without voice-only fools will find fodder-in this to rejoice / We are the problem-we are the solution-we are the ones-to stop racial pollution / We-are-the-problem-we-are-the-solution / We-are-the-ones-to-stop-racial—pollution. *So—-which one will YOU be? / Red, White, and Blue Blooded Patriot, / Dale Crum

  • A Very Honest fear turned into Happiness
    by Patricia Anne MccARTy

Not very many people will be THIS honest, so sit back and have a good dose of it. I was raised in the deep south in the 70s. My family as most of you may know, are French and Irish by roots. However, when I say deep south… I mean DEEP SOUTH. We’re talking Hill Folk here, right out of the heart of Kentucky. I lived on James Island, SC near Charleston for the first 10 years of my life. Racism wasn’t something people talked about, it just was. Us kids, sadly, never knew any different. Sept me. I tend to gravitate to the very people my dad at the time did not want me bringing home. I had quite a few black friends. Dad, at the time, feared that they would steal and told me don’t bring your friends to the house. Sadly, this is what most white folk thought in the area at the time. So I grew up with two views, the “white folk view” and my own ideas. I never saw what they were talking about. None of my friends were like that at all. I did have one girl steal a coin I got from France off my desk. She happened to be black. I followed her out and tagged her. I told her, “Hey if you wanted it so bad, why not just ask me stead of stealin’ it?” Know what I found out, the girl was too scared to ask me because she was black. She thought I would get mad at her. I really felt bad about that, so I gave her the coin. I never saw her again. There was another time, about the time Roots came out, I bought the book at the book fair. My Black friends turned on me, and stated “That’s NOT your color!, why are you getting’ that book?” I just told them, “Hey Books have no color! You don’t own a color.” Things changed after that. No longer did I have any black friends in Charleston SC. So I spent most of my time alone or with my “own” color. Never thought anything else about it. When I got older my family moved to IL. Ewe Now there’s a state! OMG talk about clone city. Everyone was like everyone else, where I was. Needless to say when when I got older I said “BUMP THIS!” and moved to CA!! NOW California was taylor made for people liker me! Perfect… I was HOME at last. What does all this have to do with anything??? Well I’ll tell you, We have a new president that has made BIG history! He has done what not one person in the US has ever done before. He became the first black president! It is amazing! At first when he was running, I was scared. I was thinking if he doesn’t win, there will be a BIG problem here! Some people are going to be too upset. And on the other hand, if he does win, that could be even worse and the stupid media will play right into it! Then I thought but still, look and who we’d end up with if this guy doesn’t win?! THAT was alarming to say the least. Even tho I had my doubts, deep down, I wanted him to WIN. When it came to the end and he did win… I was much more happy than scared and hopeful too. This was shocking to me on so many levels! Then it happened… my fear came to light. There was an interview at the local high schools and one black boy stated “I feel NOW WE will be getting our do respect! No longer are blacks gonna be at the bottom of the pole.” Through I do understand what the young man was feeling, I felt he missed the whole point. It isn’t about being a savor for black people. It IS about representing this country, the best MAN won, no color involved. This comment reminded me so much of back in SC at the book fair. That was the fear. THEN SOMEONE GOT IT RIGHT!!! As the day went by interview after interview, blacks, whites, poor, and rich, were all saying the SAME things!! HOPE, UNITY, THIS is a WONDERFUL moment in US history! it IS History! Folks we MADE HISTORY HERE. People where talking about Martin Luther King and the things he taught and wanted for the people as a whole. They were talking about the gap will finally begin to close. THAT is when all my fears died about the new president being black. Now I really am HAPPY he is our president, he is an amazing speaker and will do this country PROUD for the world to see. It is so wonderful and a big thing the Lord our God had put on the shoulders of this one man. WELL, who is to question the Lord. He has made His choice. It will be a new world! I hope nothing I wrote has upset anyone, it was not met to. And dad, well he has grown over the years and no longer feel the way he once did. Life has to grow in order to move forward and we MUST re adjust our belts every now and then; even if we think we don’t need to. :)

The results of our election here in the United States have given us great cause for celebration and hope. I’ve been trying to think what I’d like to say about it all today. I have found some very eloquent words, not written by me, that reflect what I’m thinking about. I won’t tell you who wrote it until the last, I’m afraid many won’t read it otherwise! But here are some snippets of an email sent to me this morning…...... In a nation that was founded on genocide and then built on the backs of slaves, it was an unexpected moment, shocking in its simplicity: Barack Obama, a good man, a black man, said he would bring change to Washington, and the majority of the country liked that idea. The racists were present throughout the campaign and in the voting booth. But they are no longer the majority, and we will see their flame of hate fizzle out in our lifetime. There was another important “first” last night. Never before in our history has an avowed anti-war candidate been elected president during a time of war. I hope President-elect Obama remembers that as he considers expanding the war in Afghanistan. The faith we now have will be lost if he forgets the main issue on which he beat his fellow Dems in the primaries and then a great war hero in the general election: The people of America are tired of war. Sick and tired. And their voice was loud and clear yesterday. We may, just possibly, also see a time of refreshing openness, enlightenment and creativity. The arts and the artists will not be seen as the enemy. Perhaps art will be explored in order to discover the greater truths. ....................What will it be like to work and create in an environment that nurtures and supports film and the arts, science and invention, and the freedom to be whatever you want to be? Watch a thousand flowers bloom! We’ve entered a new era, and if I could sum up our collective first thought of this new era, it is this: Anything Is Possible. There is big work to do. But this is the week for all of us to revel in this great moment. Be humble about it. Do not treat the Republicans in your life the way they have treated you the past eight years. Show them the grace and goodness that Barack Obama exuded throughout the campaign. Though called every name in the book, he refused to lower himself to the gutter and sling the mud back. Can we follow his example? I know, it will be hard. end excerpt And now, do you want to know who wrote all that? Wait for it, wait for it…........................ / Michael Moore!

  • / Isaiah 9:6 No matter who our Presidential leader is, Jesus is the Lion of Judah, the King of Kings Like a lamb led to the slaughter Jesus never opened His mouth. From the trail to the crucifixion and to the grave He was laid out. After three days in the garden tomb. I can hear the angels sing as the Lamb came forth as the Lion and the Lion became the King. You won’t find Him again at the whipping post standing there so meek; and He won’t be nailed to a rugged cross through His hands and through His feet. There’ll never be another Calvary ‘cause He don’t have to prove one thing. That day the Lamb became the Lion and the Lion became the King. When Jesus left His splendor to live on earth with man, by most He was rejected because He came forth as the Lamb. / Isaiah 9:6 ...

/ Isaiah 9:6 / For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given. And the government shall be upon His shoulders; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of Peace. 1Peter 2:16-17 / Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bondslaves of God. Honor all men; love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king. In the United States of America our leader is not called the king, but rather the President and if we are Christians we are to honor him. As a man who lost out of becoming President of the Unidted States John Mc Cain gave the greatest speach I have ever heard with all dignity and honor to the new President elect. / Whether of not John Mc Cain is a Christian those of us who call ourselves Christian are to follow his lead in respect for our new President regardless of our personal feelings. Though John Mc Cain lost the election he dis-approved of the boo’s coming from his own party. We now have a new President of the United States of America, but Jesus is still the Lion of Judah, the King of Kings and God is still God. The words below are from a song by the Crabb Family called / “The Lion, The Lamb and The King” Like a lamb led to the slaughter Jesus never opened His mouth. From the trail to the crucifixion and to the grave He was laid out. After three days in the garden tomb. I can hear the angels sing as the Lamb came forth as the Lion and the Lion became the King. / You won’t find Him again at the whipping post standing there so meek; and He won’t be nailed to a rugged cross through His hands and through His feet. There’ll never be another Calvary ‘cause He don’t have to prove one thing. That day the Lamb became the Lion and the Lion became the King. / When Jesus left His splendor to live on earth with man, by most He was rejected because He came forth as the Lamb. Oh, but, the day is soon approaching that every eye shall see the Lamb and the Lion of Judah has been crowned the King of Kings. • You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig...
    by Jonathan Dower

“You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It’s still gonna stink.” “We’ve had enough of the same old thing.” -If you haven’t seen the news on this, which flooded both american and international news networks in a matter of hours, then this was Barack Obama referring to the republican’s economic policy. His audience, however, believed he was referring to Sarah Palin, and therefore began to applaud. Perhaps that idea stemmed from one of Palin’s comments before this in her nomination acceptance speech: “What’s the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull? Lipstick.” Obama has been accused of being sexist. Obama meanwhile quite fairly claims that he was referring to the republican’s economic proposals. However, I still can’t help feeling this IS towards the republican candidates themselves. McCain is the pig, Palin is the lipstick. And America needs to realise this. When you vote republican, you don’t vote for Palin, you vote for McCain. I’m seriously worried that the American public may not realise that. Just think about it- once a President is in power, vice presidents no longer have much to do with the country. They are simply the running mate- and that is all. Once the election is over, they no longer matter. I mean, WHO is the current Vice President? Yes, I know it is Dick Cheney, but just LOOK at the Vice Presidency- it’s just a person there for show, a useful standby should a President die in office, but that is all. Voting republican means voting McCain, not Palin. Obama’s speech also for me had another significance- that every word he said was true here. Change, to the republicans, is the piece of paper. It will still stink. I personally believe McCain is another Bush in disguise- by voting McCain, you put yourselves under another Bush. The piece of paper is this change- and it doesn’t make a difference to what lies underneath, to me, the same bunch of idiots who supported Bush and now support McCain. America does not need another Bush- why vote for one? The republican’s haven’t truly changed, They aren’t New Republicans. They’re the same old Republicans that George Bush was. Nothing will change under McCain- wake up America, and make change possible. Furthermore, America must also realise that the responsibility of electing the next President matters weighs upon their shoulders as it is a decision that affects the entire world. George Bush affected the entire world. Not for the better. So the Republicans, as Obama has said so eloquently in his speech, using an old phrase to make a new point, are just the same old Republican party in disguise, the party of George Bush. You can dress it up with lipstick- a popular Vice Presidential candidate like Sarah Palin with her oh so cute family (who on EARTH names their kids Trig, Track, Bristol, Willow and Piper? I think that alone is disgraceful). Obama can’t be accused of unfair play here- every word he said is the truth- Palin and ‘Change’ are merely temporary costumes- just wait until you see the true McCain. You won’t like it. (Sorry here if it sounds like an Obama campaign piece, but I’ve tried to make it much more. Vote Obama ; ) .

One of the excellent co- hosts of Current Issues has written a superb essay that everyone should read. Obama – Scary Street Thug is a thoughtful examination of some of the negative responses to the results of the 2008 United States Presidential Election.

I had the rare pleasure of seeing Barack Obama speak live yesterday at my school Boise State University. I had to completely give up on politics about 8 years ago for my own health. The more i leaned the more i was driving myself to an early grave. But I was really impressed by Obama and inspired. He actually gave me a glimpse of hope for this corrupt, maniacle government. Some of the changes hes wishes to instill if he becomes president are: 1. Universal Free Healthcare for all Americans by the end of his first term / 2. $4000 college credit for students wishing to seek higher educations / 3. Get our troops out of Iraq and get the real enemy, Bin Laden / 4. Completely take lobbiest and PACS out of the whitehouse and stop letting them set political agendas / 5. Bring Amercan starndards of education back to the forefront / 6. Bring America to the forefront of preservation and protection of our earth This is not saying that he couldnt be totally blowing smoke up our bum bums, like so many politicians have done before. But the thing about Obama is he really sounds like hes speaking from the heart. His whole campaign is based on CHANGE. He wants to completely change the way this country works and re-instill a sense a pride in our country which the Bush Administration so easily destroyed. It seems that no one wants things to continue as there are, and we all are so despritly calling for change. So now i may enter back into the world of politics. I just might have to get passed my moral and pholisophical reasons of completely withdrawing from politics, to vote and support this empassioned individual in the hope that their is still the chance that we can change this country back for the good. I highly recommend that you go and find some of his speeches on youtube.com or elsewhere and listen to what he has to say. OBAMA ‘08!!! www.barackobama.com
