Landscape of the Lord St. Malo outside of Estes Park, Colorado. One of thee most photographed Churches in all of North America, I was VERY excited and VERY anxious to get this shot when I headed up to Rocky Mountain National Park. I was hoping that the weather would clear because behind this, covered in the clouds, is Mt. Meeker and it is just a stunning view with the mountains! I have to admit though, I am really happy how this came out. And if anything, it is quite unique compared to how it is usually shot. I suppose that is a good thing when it comes to photographing something that is such an icon. Generally, people walk down by the pond and shoot from there, I stayed up top on the side of the road, thus giving a different perspective than most. Also, the weather. It was dramatic as all heck! You could smell the rain as it came in, dark, but with so much drama in the sky. I was pretty lucky to get a shot like this. Ya, I am happy with it! First Light of The Lord Watching this sunrise come up in Rocky Mountain National Park was akin to witnessing paradise unfold before your eyes. Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful and stunning sunrises I have seen in a long while. The way the Alpineglow reflected against the mountains was amazing, the color changing ever so quickly, it seemed to change color as fast as I could hold down the shutter. / Hope ya all like it! Tell me what ya think! / —-John More can be seen on my website at jdebordphoto.com

Captured above Breckenridge, Colorado….I just had to stop the car along Boreas Pass to get this shot. Sometimes, albeit rare times, mid day light can work, and this is one of those very rare times where it does. Thoughts most welcomed!

Sunrise At Upper Beaver Meadows It pays to get places early, you all shoulda seen the out of state photographers come screaming around the corner in their 2 cars, slamming on the brakes, parking, and trying to lug what seemed like 200 pounds of equipment stuffed into massive LowePro bags when I was shooting this lol Anyways, this was quite a scene and one that I was pretty thrilled about capturing, the clouds just seem to skyrocket by me. Photographed in Colorado’s Rocky Mountain National Park. / Thoughts welcomed! / —-John You can see more of my work on my website at jdebordphoto.com
