Stringy Bark blues. by Janne Kearney
Oil on Canvas 90×120cm silver metal leaf and blue glaze. This is a great blues artist from Geelong, Stringybark Mac Dowell, he has paid homage to his great love of the blues in a fabulous tattoed back piece. He leans on his favorite chrome guitar as one would lean on a good mate, the guitar reflects a distorted image of his tattoo in mutual admiration. This is part of my series of tattooed people for my exhibition at the Brunswick St Gallery Brunswick Melbourne, 13th March 2009, you all welcome.
